Wasn't sure if I should add this to the superthread or not.

We made sure to see WOC on our trip last month. As most people stated, it was difficult to see over all the people in front of you. I thought we had a good spot (center, not too far back) but at 5'7" on my tippy toes I could barely see over the people in front of me. It's really dissapointing that they make such a great show (I think it would be if I could have seen more than the top quarter of it) and not plan the viewing area better. I personally would have rather done something else with our time that evening.

We also saw Fantasmic! for the first time and had a great spot. It was wonderful. I absolutely loved it and it was the perfect ending to our 3 days at DLR. I was surprised though, my DH said he preferred WOC over Fantasmic! Maybe b/c he's taller and could actually see? Or just personal preference. Anyway, just wanted to share.

Unfortunately, I do think that the viewing area for WOC affects how you feel about the show. There are so many bad views and you have to work to get the good view spots, so it is a time commitment. I greatly prefer WOC to Fantasmic!, but I know I am in the minority around here. I really wish the viewing situation for WOC could be fixed because I think people would enjoy it more. Maybe this year Disney could find some way to fix it.

I know it wouldn't let as many people in the viewing area, but if everyone was allowed to sit during the show it would be better for viewing.

We got some great spots for both woc and Fantasmic if we hadn't I think we would have passed and left. I have two very short children and then myself my mom and other dd are short. I prefer Fantasmic myself although was very impressed with WOC. It is unfortunate that only those in the front basically can see.

Yes, there were a few times when I got a good view and the music along with the effects were very cool. Hopefully they will find a way to fix it.

I liked WoC the first time I saw it. I was in the Blue section, slightly on the left.
Then i LOVED it the second time: i had the preferred viewing area due to a lunch at Wine Country and went there early to get a good spot. I was in the center, right behind the wet area with nobody in front of me.
It was much much better.
Next year I'm thinking about a lunch at Carthay Circle just to get the VIP area.
I love this show, I cannot decide if I prefere WoC or F!, but the latter is easier to see (saw from the center in the sitting area without much effort going to the second show after fireworks during grad nights, much easier and great view).

The first time I saw WoC was from the WCT reserved area, it was great, well worth the price of dinner. I did get wet though, next time I'm bringing a poncho and some face wipes, has anyone noticed what's floating around in the water? :)

I took the time to read the super thread about the best viewing areas for both F! and WOC for our most recent trip. The 2 spots, fire hydrant for WOC and speaker tower for F!, were both very easy to get with minimal lining up time, and incredible mostly unobstructed views of both shows. In particular, the fire hydrant spot is very easy to get as it appears to be on a walk way and people just walk by.

Amy and I have seen it about 5 times. Most of those have been in the front row against the water. If you get that be prepared to get wet and roasted!!!

We prefer WOC over Fantasmic! though we got great seats for that as well. The best place is behind tower #2. No one sits there thinking it will block your view and than after it rises up it is great.

We loved WOC! Both times we saw it, we had blue section FP. When we got into the viewing area, we didn't follow the people down to the main section, but stayed in the next section up, against the rail. Both times we were right in front, so no people standing in our way. Plus it gave us a rail to lean against.

We were right by the center staircase. I didn't quite understand why everyone was crowding around on the next tier down when there were "front row" spots one tier up. I thought our view was great!
