As Christmas has practically arrived, I find myself dwelling upon the gift of peace that is offered to us through the One who is celebrated thsi time of year. I understand that not all who will read this message claim the same religion, but the gift of peace that comes through the Child in the manger at Bethlehem is a gift of peace for us all.
May all of us who call Earth home embrace that peace in 2006, and find our way to that peace. More than the end of war and absence of violence, may we live in an era of true fellowship, love, mercy, forgiveness, healing, and understanding. I hope for a peace that transcends politics and fragile human treaties. That is my prayer for each of you -my DIS friends -and for the world we live in.
