My winter wonderland....

Here is the view from my front door. The tree that is almost buries is about 5 and a half feet tall. They are talking more snow possibly on Saturday. I am starting to think my tree will be fully buried before the end of winter this year!!

Anyone want to share theirs?

Sorry I have plenty of my own but your neighbor may want to get their roof shoveled off!!

I'm afraid to look outside a few mins ago I couldn't see the barn or the sugarhouse both of which are only a couple hundred feet from the house!

Can't get outside right now, it's raining. BLECH!!! There is a nice thick layer of ice everywhere though.

The kids and I shoveled the drive way this morning because it was changing over to rain. I am so afraid everything is going to ice over later. I can't wait for warmer weather...I only hope it warms up slowly so that we won't have to deal with water issues in the basement. But on the bright side, snow days are scrap days unless I really need to be in work.

My yard looks pretty much like yours.

We received 8" of snow, following by a good coating of rain/sleet/ice.

I'll upload photos later.. ours is a complete mess... snow covered by the ice, sleet mixtures.. and then on top of that tree branches everywhere...
We finally got into 2 of cars.. one more still to go.... got a little bit of sunshine...(little)..
The kids are outside w/ their sleds sliding down our little hill in the backyard and going a pretty quick pace!

Wow! Thanks for sharing the pictures! I haven't seen snow like that since I lived in Denver. Being in Florida now, cold for us is anything below 50 degrees. It's supposed to get cooler tonight here, then rain through Saturday.

I keep telling myself that each part of our country has it's own quirks, so I shouldn't mind a little of the white stuff...but this winter is the worst that I can remember. I hope everyone is coming through this storm okay. We are still getting rain. Need to check in with the weather man. He says the next two days are going to be better. I hope he is right!

It's miserable here. I just went out to turn my car around (we live on a really busy street and in the morning it's easier to just drive out), and there is ice everywhere. It's horrible.
