For those of you unfamiliar with the US residency process, first you apply for a temporary resident (green) card. You apply, get interviewed, then they decide whether you can stay or not. If you do they give you a green card good for 2 years. Then you have to go back for a 2nd interview where they review your documentation, read letters of recommendation, check with neighbors, basically to make sure it's not some kind of marriage scam.

My wife got a letter from Immigration today. She doesn't have to go back for the 2nd interview, she now has permanent residency :banana: :yay: :banana:
 
That's great news for you! :thumbsup2 Those interviews are not a lot of fun. Because we've been living outside the states for more than 12 months, if we wanted to move back I would have to go and have more of those lovely interviews at the US Embassy in London!
