The one thing we know for SURE is that we are going to WDW in 2004 ::yes::

The one thing we cannot decide is WHEN. The initial plan was to shoot for early May.And that would still be ideal in many ways--especially for the reason that we will get there sooner.

But, on the practical side, Sept or Oct would be a wiser choice.Mainly because it gives us longer to pay for the trip:earseek:
And there is the hope in the back of our minds that maybe Disney will offer the FairyTale package again.
Does anyone remember when that package was announced for this year?
I know its not something we should count on--but it sure would be nice:hyper:

Anyway-thanks for listening.I know that if anyone would understand my dilemma---you fellow Diser's would.

Sept is my fav time. It's still hot, but not as hot as Aug. The evenings can be quite comfortable. We booked the FTP around Memorial day for our last Sept trip.

I think it was offered around the end of May beginning of June, because you had to have it booked by 6/30 to take advantage of it. You picked two real good times to go, May and Oct are both great times. Although September is suppose to be less crowded, I heard it was still really hot then. We went in August once and it was so hot, it was insane!

Hey anytime in Disney World is a Good Time!

Same dilemma for us and we opted for sooner rather than later. That said - if I had to pick May or Oct - I'd go for Oct. We loved it in the fall. Let us know when you decide.

Thanks everyone !!!:earsgirl:

It helps just knowing that others have been in the same boat at one time or another.

I guess we will just wait and see what deals come out--and how much tax refund we get this year :teeth:
Thats how we paid for most of our trip in 2002.

I'm still :Pinkbounc planning:Pinkbounc though !! Heck, how can I not ???

We've been twice in May and once in early November. May is way too hot and humid, in my opinion. I told DH I never want to go in May again (and I will never go in summer!). On the other hand, I loved it in early November. Crowds were low, it was warm in the daytime and chilly at night. So of your choices, I would choose October.

I have been over Columbus day 2002 and the first week in May of 2003. May had better weather, (not as humid and no rain) but both were nice. I do remember talking with a woman from Jacksonville when I was there in October, and she said it was unseasonably humid that weekend. It was more crowded in October, but that is because I was there over a holiday weekend.

We've gone in May. Yuk- too hot! We've also gone in Sept and Oct. We love going in Oct. You've got the Halloween gigs and the Food and Wine Festival. The weather has always been great. I believe most pools are heated so we still got to swim on cool days/nights. :sunny:

Just to note though - Oct. runs a risk of hurricane weather. In '99 there was some concern around our trip - but it cleared and we had a blast!
