My "what are the chances" question

Hi. We are wanting to go for the marathon in Jan and would like to stay outside our home resort, either at BWI, BCV, or OKW. Is it going to be impossible to get a room at the 7 month mark for the marathon weekend? Anyone have experience trying to book DVC during that time?

I would be very surprised if you couldn't get at least OKW at the 7 month mark if not your other 2 choices as well.

Called 7 months out for time beginning Thrusday before Marathon weekend to Thurs after for Jan 2011 and only things not available were BLT MK and standard view, AKV concierge, BCV (some nights), and BWV standard and boardwalk view. We were asking for 2BR.

For the 2010 long marathon weekend we got BLT LV dedicated 2 bedroom at 7 months. We had to waitlist, and it came through in July. We had had a dedicated 2 bedroom and a studio at VWL but we really enjoyed our first stay at BLT.
