I just returned from a weekend at Disneyland for Gay Days and to San Francisco to see the Walt Disney Family museum and would like to share some photos with you. Enjoy.

Mike, your pictures are awesome....I'm so jealous.....the last time I went to Disney Land was 30 some years ago....I miss the submarine ride...So glad you had a great time....and welcome back.

My name is Lori, and I approve this message. :thumbsup2

Thanks for taking us your pictorial tour of your trip! I think it's pretty cool that you've seen Mickey "around the world". And Club 33 is icing on the cake!
I saw your FB posts about DL Hotel being an epic fail, and I can see why. That's awful. Until they moved you.

Thanks!

How do you get invited to dine at Club 33?
It's a long story, and I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't lived it, but basically, the brother of the man (stranger) that Daryl rode on the shuttle from LAX to DL was a C33 member and his brother invited us. Daryl is an incredibly intelligent and positive thinking person and people like him a lot.

Interestingly enough, I hardly saw any political ads on billboards or placards in California.

Awesome pictures Mike! I especially love the night shots. Thanks so much for sharing! So jealous you got to the Family Museum, I am just dying to go there. It looks amazing, what did you think of it? How long did you tour it?

Awesome pictures, Mike! I'm so jealous of your trip! I haven't been to either DLC or San Francisco. Two places I'd LOVE to go to some day! :)

Really enjoyed your pics, Mike. Looks like you had a nice time despite having to move to a better room at the hotel. :)

Amazing pictures! Thanks for sharing. My family is heading there in January. Do you recommend the picnic meal for WOC? Was your viewing area for that good. I know there are LOTS of threads with WOC info...what's your recommendations for viewing?
TIA!

Other then the construction at DLH it looks like it was a good trip. I would have liked to meet you this weekend for F&W but I can't blame you for heading to CA.

Thank you, everyone.

I thought the museum was great. I don't know if it's in the right location, though. It seems more suited to be someplace in WDW or near Anaheim. I hope it's successful.

I was not going to accept a crappy room at the rate I was paying. If I am staying at a Disney resort, I want Disney magic.

Yes, I thought the picnic meal was great and a good value. I didn't have to worry about getting fast passes as they were reserved for me. I got a spot in the blue section right next to the water, and only got a little mist - not wet at all. The view was fine - not the best, but I only saw it from there, so I cannot compare other spots.

I'm sure we'll meet at another DIS event! I'm glad you had a good time with Joel. :goodvibes

Mike - LOVE the photos. Makes me so excited to think that in 4 months, 1 week and 5 days we will be there. (I'm not really counting but my disticker is!)

The salmon with spinach and lentils looks yummy! Can't wait to see WOC. Did you get a chance to see Fantasmic there? The only time I have been to DL was in '08 and we were only there 3 days and I was a bit under the weather while there. So never got around to seeing Fantasmic. Can't decide if it is something I need to make time for or not.

Glad that you had such a good time. :goodvibes

Fantasmic! is an amazing show and if you have never seen it at DL or WDW, you should definitely plan on seeing it. If you're seen the WDW version before, the DL version is better. If you plan to see it, I recommend you get one of the reserved seat packages they offer. I saw it once from the balcony of the former Disney Gallery and it was well worth the price.

Great pictures! Looks like you had fun (other than the construction mess). I agree Fantasmic in DL is better than in WDW...but I hate that we have no theater! Ugh...the waiting with the crowds over there is awful.

I think based off of OCtony's review a long time a go that we are going to do that too. Glad you said your view was ok. And I'm glad you had fun in SF, it's beautiful, huh?

Thanks for sharing!

thanks for sharing- great photos!

i really need to make it a point to do the WD family museum. Looks like i will be travelling to SF on business at least 4x a year, so I plan to stay over a few days and check it out. Did you enjoy the museum?
