I used the Rainforest and it was very relaxing. The prices are $15 per day or on the first day you can pay $45 to use the Rainforest everyday of the cruise. Then on day two the price drops to $35, day three is $25, and the last day is $15. I opted for the two day and it was very nice. I would recommend it for any one who wants a day away from the family and to relax.

Upon checking in you will be given a basket which has a pair of plastic sandles, robe and a key to a locker. They will show you to the locker room, but first you will pass by the rainforest room which they will point out so when you are ready you can just walk down there. The locker room has all the amenities of a normal locker room.
The rainforest room can be occupied by several people at one time but I made several visits I was the only one in there. It was so nice.
I have heard other people who purchased other spa services and were not able to relax because they were given a sales pitch to buy products. I was left alone no sales pitch was ever given to me.
Give it a try I am sure you will enjoy it.

The main room has big comfy lounge chairs made out of stone and they are heated! They surround a large water fountain that trickle water. There is rainforest type music played.

There serveral seperate rooms that surround the main room. One is an armotherapy steam room which is very good for opening the sinuses. There is a mild steam room and a sauna room.

In this room there are a couple of showers as well that you can rinse of in. Once you press the button for the water to come on it only runs for 3 minutes or so.
You can then take a shower in the locker room.

Give this a try you will enjoy it!!

And if that is a dumb question and I'm the only one who doesn't know it, I apologize, I'm somewhat musically challenged anyway (sorry still listening to james taylor, carol king, simon & garfunkel, the everly brothers, billy joel and elton john--at least I can understand the words and I'm not offended by those words).

Thanks for posting the rainforest review--we took the tour, then got busy on the wonder last month and didnt go. have never done the spa, but we've made up our minds that we want to next go round in april on the magic.

Anyone done the alpha capsule? DW interested--she has sleep problems so anything that can relax her and get her some rest is of interest, but the capsule was broken on the ownder so she couldn't do it on our 1/16 wonder cruise.

Rainforest music is rain falling, thunderstroms, babbling brooks ect.
As of the time I cruised the alpha capsule was broken.

I love you report on the spa.... I just have to add mine, cuz it's kinda funny and may be a little O/T

My husband and I still joke about our couples message.

It was his first mesage, I've had many (thank you DH). I had to talk him into it, and this being our anniversary, he went for it.

He was so relaxed and there were were at the end.... sitting on the tables, STILL IN OUR ROBES, I'm looking at his back... the two therapist talking simulaneously to us - his telling him he had bad circulation...mine telling me my skin is dry....blah blah blah...give us a break! our heads were spinning and basically, they were ruining our "buzzzzzz". It would have been bad tolerable had I heard the pitch alone, but I was listening to my pitch while listening to my DH's pitch too and watching my DH cringe in front of me...these lil bees going at it at the same time it was like "stop! Can you just let me get up and enjoy this relaxing feeling!" But, heh, we joked about it and STILL joke about my husband's poor circulation...;) heeeee :rotfl2:

I think the Rainforest Room should be free of charge.....

My DH did the capsule on our early January cruise. We were on a 4 night, so he scheduled 2-50 minute treatments. He said that he found it hard to relax during his first treatment. Probably because he didn't quite know what to expect. For his second treatment, the technician told him that he was out like a light and snoring within the first 5 minutes. He did feel very refreshed afterwards.

Thanks for the report! I haven't done the Rainforest Room yet, but it's one of the things I'd like to try in November. It sounds so relaxing! And with two cruises in a row, I'll have time to try the things I don't normally get to do!

I do have a couple of questions--I am slightly larger than I'd like to be (about a size 18). Will the robe cover me? What do I wear under it...swimsuit?

Thanks!

Beth

Beth, I think that you'll be quite comfortable in the robe that they give you. They are for both men and women. The same can be said for the rainforest, it's for both men and women, so a bathing suit would be just fine in there.

if the robe they hand you is too small don't be shy about asking for a bigger sized robe - I did!

That's funny...I wouldn't have thought of that! I guess maybe I need to start pampering myself and spend some time at a spa!

Is it true that all you have to say when going to the spa for treatments is "no pitch" and they won't try to sell you anything after your treatment?
