My visit with the Transplant Team Today!

My levels went up instead of coming down, the Dr's said this was most likely due to the Lasik, so they stopped that med. My kidney function was also a little on the high side, so I have to drink more water, I seem to dehydrate easliy. Also yesterday and today, I had two high blood sugar level's, one over 200, the other over 250, (these where after I ate) the dr.'s feel that this is due to the predisone (high dose). They made a decison to take me off the one anti-rejection drug, and put me back on the one I was on for so long. Seems, like I was having no problems with that one.

Also they are waiting for the insurance to give a authorization for me to get that Immunce Cell Function test, that will tell them so much! So overall I was pleased with my visit and they are right up ontop of things with me! I have to go back in two weeks.

I am allowed to go out, but was asked to limit my outings during the week when there are less people, and not to do much in one day! So it looks like I will be able to go and do a little shopping and lunch with Lauren while she is home. DH and I are going to take her out to dinner one night as well!

Please don't take your organs to heaven....

Oh I am so glad to hear things are doing okay. I think about you quite a bit as my mom went through so many of the things you are dealing with. That lasik will just suck the fluids right out of you! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I love that line. I have had my donor card since highschool, I always knew I would donate whatever I could when my time comes. It is the greatest gift.
