My very own Disney Scrapbooking Room?

I want to take our spare room and make it my own scrapbooking/craft room.Using Disney as my theme, I want to keep my walls blue. Has any one, any ideas. Also at a low cost. We are hitting Orlando the second week in March so I could start shopping and get ideas too.

I wish I had a spare room in my house to do this!! I'm jealous!! You know what I think would be neat? A mural of the entire Disney grounds on one wall. If you had a friend that is a pretty good artist you could take a map of WDW -- maybe like the one that is in the map guides we get where it shows all 4 main parks plus the hotels--then have your friend/artist paint the wall
similar to this but really emphasize the Parks--MK w/Cindy's castle, AK w/the tree, MGM w/the tower ears and ToT, and Epcot w/the world. If you wanted to take it one step further you could have her/him paint Blizzard Beach w/the big ski sloop slide and Typhone Lagoon w/the beached ship on top of the mtn.
Of course this would be pretty expensive and may be more than you'd want to spend but it'd be pretty neat, I think. Or maybe instead of doing the Parks/Map have someone paint the Characters on one wall. You could find a postcard or album w/all the major chtrs on it and use it as an example. Lots of neat stuff. Of course there's wallpaper w/the characters, or if you have a favorite one focus on that one. One of my good friends is nuts for Tink so a great idea for her would be to paint the Castle on one wall w/Tink flying overhead. I wouldn't think that would be as expensive as painting the entire map but then what do I know? I'm a travel agent not a painter/artist!! -- I'm always pushing the high end stuff!

Uh-oh, just had a thought as I was reading over this and proofing....this might be copyright material and you may not be allowed to do that. I know on our business cards and phone ads we aren't allowed to have anything printed that reflects Disney/Mickey in any way. Even though I'm a Disney Specialist and have been through the College of Knowledge, I still can't advertise it. I'm also a Sandals Specialist and Destination Specialist for several islands and CAN print that on my cards but not Disney. Strange...one would think Disney would like the free advertising. Might want to check into that before you get too far on this.

I think (Note: I am not a lawyer and am not giving legal advice) that if it's for personal use, you could do it. I think that's what I remember from teh whole Disney character embroidery machines discussion. I can't see teh Disney police coming to raid your house.

My friend did a mural of the 100 Acre Wood for their nursery. It was So nice. Now their son is 3 and wants Spiderman and my friend is not looking forward to painting again! lol

If a mural is too much for you I saw a scraproom (2 peas I think) that painted the romm one colour and then painted Mickey icons in the same colour but glossy. Very subtle but really nice.

Home Depot has some cool Disney-themed products: wallpaper border, wall stick-ons, stencils, and stamps.

DD and I are getting our very own scrap room. We are finishing off the basement and the room that was once known as the guest room will now be the scrap room.

I figured DS has a double bed so when we have guests he can go sleep with his brother so what is the need for a guest room that is used only 5-6 times a year. Our scrap room is used every week. We have been using it already. DH bought us a 9 foot table and got a huge carpet scrap from a carpet friend so our feet stay warm. Even have a portable heater too. Even though it is dingy and gray right now, I can imagine it bright and yellow some day.
