Hello everyone :wave2:, I been lurking for about a week or so before posting. Let me introduce myself my nickname is Misha, we are a family of 6. Me(41),DH39), DS (21), DS (11), DS(9), DD(3). We are huge theme park enthusiasts and last year visited Disneyworld 7 times. This year we have decided to start going back to USF & IOA. It has been many years before we have visited USF & IOA, the last time was around 2008. We are going the week of August 9th and staying until the 17th. For the most part I have most of our plans put together, still have some tweaking to do (On this trip there will only be 5 of us going my DS (21) has to work and doesn't want to take that much time off). We are staying at PBH from the 9th to the 12th. Then we are renting a 5bdrm vacation home from the 12th to the 17th (this is our 2nd time staying here and the kids really love this beautiful house, it has a fully air conditioned and carpeted game room, the owner is great and gave us an offer we couldn't refuse). This is our first stay at PBH and we are really looking forward to staying there and for $5 more then the RPH we landed a bigger room (Deluxe). The photos and videos look amazing. We have stayed at RPH before but it has been awhile. I can't say this enough but I LLLLLOOOOVVVEEE having the unlimited express passes, we don't like waiting in long lines. I will give you a rundown of our plans:

Friday 7/9- Arrive at Hotel @ 2pm, hangout at pool for a couple hours, dinner ressie's 5:30pm at Trattoria Del Porto, for Pasta Cucina night. After that we can either go to one of the parks or hang out at Citywalk.
Saturday 7/10- Early park admission to USF, character breakfast @ LaBamba, leave park around 12noon, hang out at resort pool and later that evening go back to the park. Haven't decided where we are eating dinner yet.
Sunday 7/11- Early park admission to IOA, grab breakfast at either Crescent Moon bakery. We are also purchasing the meal deal dining plan for DH and 2 DS's (they are big eaters). Return to room midday to relax by pool or room. Return back to park in the evening.
Monday 7/12 we check of hotel, grab breakfast at IHOP or Cracker Barrel and then check into vacation home. Monday no big plans just hang out at the house by the pool and maybe catch a movie later that evening. We will also probably BBQ since the house has a grill.
Tuesday 7/13- Will we hang out at Aquatica (still deciding on what to do later that evening and where to eat).
Wednesday 7/14- SeaWorld here we come (still deciding on what to do and where to eat).
Thursday 7-15 relax at the house.
Friday 7-16 we are visiting the one only Mickey Mouse. We have dinner ressie's at the Sci Fi Café at 5pm, so we will visit HS after dinner, we will head to MK until closing 11pm.
Saturday 7-17, checkout of the house, grab breakfast and still haven't decided if we will pop back in and visit Mickey for a half day or not or just head home, or go shopping at the outlet malls (we live in Florida, only 2 hours away :drive:). I forgot to mention that we have annual passes to WDW and SeaWorld/Aquatica and will be getting the annual passes for USF/IOA too. The kids would like to re-visit LEGOLAND and Funspot, we visited LEGOLAND the first year it opened and the kids loved it. Funspot is a possibility but LEGOLAND not so much this time. I love saving money anywhere I can, which affords us the opportunity to travel to Orlando numerous times. I am big on couponing and usually save between 50% to 65% at the grocery stores and use that money for vacation time with the family. We usually stay at Disney and get the dining plan (I love not worrying about the bill when it arrives and we take advantage of the character meals). So far this year we have visited Disney 2 times, this trip will be our 3rd trip. I am big on getting my money's worth out of those annual passes. Another, thing I like to do is buy my theme park merchandise in advance to save some moola. The places I usually find great deals (Disney store sales, Walmart, target, Ebay). This time I am on the hunt for Despicable me merchandise, Marvel and Transformers. So far I have found a bunch of the cutest shirts for the family and only have a few more to buy. Whenever I buy merchandise in advance my kids really don't want anything from the parks. We do however buy each one a gift card and then they can buy anything extra that they want inside of the parks. Well enough about me and my family, if you have any suggestions, please let me know because I still have some tweaking to do on my vacation plans and only have 3 weeks and 3 days left before we arrive. Thank you for welcoming me to the board and I look forward to your suggestions and welcomes. :)

Welcome Misha! :thumbsup2

Since this is a pre-trip report, I'm going to move it to the Trip Reports board.

Happy posting!

you listed this is happening starting july 9.
but that can't be possible as it is july now.

i'm thinking the pretrip info is for august.

whenever it is, hope you have loads of fun at the darkside!

wait, reread it again and in the text you list august.
the date listings on the schedule is what threw me off.

nevermind.........

We are going in August starting the 9th. Sorry for the confusion still learning how to navigate the board. Thanks MacRaven for the welcome!

we love it when homies tell us about their trips!

especially when it includes the darkside...

i think you will be back a lot since you are buying ap's.

Absolutely! Especially now my boys are older which is why we stayed away so long. The only issue will be DD (3), not being able to ride everything. I have already prepared her, but I am sure she will have a meltdown anyways. She hates not being able to ride whatever she feels like riding. She is already excited and asks everyday "is today the day"? Everyday I tell her not yet that we have 3 weeks left. She is 100% a girly girl but is crazy over Spider-Man. She wants to meet him badly. We will continue to go back to WDW and Universal as long as we have the AP's. My kids are just as obsessed over Disney as I am and now we will have a new obsession. USF/IOA too Lol!

use the child swap rooms for the rides she can not go on.
those family rooms are set up really nice.

tell the TM at the entrance of the ride line, you will need the child swap room.

Thank you for that tip. I will make sure we use it.

Welcome Misha! We will be there the same time (ish), we arrive the 10th and leave the 24th. We have the whole time in a vacation home, it's such luxury, isn't it? Looking forward to comparing notes--I will have to look at your plans in ref to ours! Getting close now! :yay:

Hi Coastgirl! Yes it is getting closer, less than 2 weeks to go. I am happy to see someone else going during part of the time my family will be there. I wish it was longer though, but the kids have start school on the 19th. Yes I enjoy staying in vacation homes, especially when the grandparents tag along. My father loves to cook for everyone breakfast, lunch & dinner while everyone relaxes or visit the parks or shop. What are your plans? Are you only going to USF/IOA? Or are you going to visit some of the other parks too?
