Large party of 9 that just HAS to go to BOG dinner: We plan to be at MK on both Monday, the day after our arrival, and Friday, the day before our departure. Here are the ADR booking strategies at 6am, 180 days before arrival day, as I see it (we prefer BOG on Monday):

1) Attempt to schedule ADR for Friday first, since there should be more openings and hopefully greater chance for success, to make sure we at least have that time slot; then immediately try to book our preferred Monday time slot; if successful, cancel the Friday slot after we eat there Monday (or keep it if we decide we want to go back).

2) Attempt to schedule our preferred Monday time slot first, since there will be less availability; if unsuccessful, attempt to book Friday, hoping those first few minutes of the open ADR window hasn't cost us Friday time slots as well.

Which strategy would you recommend? What alternate strategies would you try instead?

I would probably go with option #1. You'll have better success later in the trip with a group of 9. You could also try to get both at the same time by using a computer and your phone, and see what pops up. Good luck!

I would try to book the Friday first. When my 180+10 booking window opened for Oct 28th-Nov 4th the only BOG dinner reservation available was for November 3rd. It will be very hard to get BOG dinner for the day after your arrival. Book the Friday if you can and sign up for Touring Plans reservation finder for the Monday time.
