My twin grandsons are here!!!!!!

DD (krnb here on the DIS) gave birth to two beautiful baby boys yesterday.

Zachary Robert was born at 8:06, weighing 4 lb. 13 oz and 17-1/2 inches long.

Alexander Daniel was born at 8:08, weighing 5 lb. 6 oz and 18 inches long.

Though born at 34-1/2 weeks, they are healthy and strong!

We are sooooooo blessed!

BTW - Hannah was 4 lbs. 12 oz. at birth, and 18 inches long, born at 34 weeks. She stayed in the ICN for 2 weeks, and today is a perfectly healthy, normal (but skinny) 6 year old!

Congratulations!!!!!! That is wonderful. So excited for you. Let her know from one twin mommy to another, she really will sleep again. lol. take lots of pictures because they grow fast!

I had my twins at 34w6d and they were almost the same weights as your grandsons...5lb10oz and 4lb10oz. Mine were healthy, too. yay!

Congratulations on your new grandsons! Love the names, looks like they are covered A to Z I don't have twins myself, but I do part-time day-care for a set since they were born and they are so much fun. Enjoy!

I also have a 34 week preemie, only she was 6 lbs. 4 oz, 18 1/2 in. at birth and spent 3 weeks in the ICN. Today she is 12 and as healthy as can be. Since she was so big when she was born she never did look like a preemie, and still doesn't today. She's always been one of the taller kids in her class.
