My turn to vent

One of my biggest message boards pet peeves. Is when there are a tons of post on the same topic. I usually will scan the board first go back a page or two to see if there are any topics similiar to what I'm about to post about.

Well, I would not consider it a pet peeve, but it does tend to clog up the first page of the boards. Plus I might miss something posted because I am not looking at every thread on the subject.

Sometimes I will copy the link to an already-posted thread to the new thread and KINDLY direct the discussion there. No need to be snarky - someone probably just didn't see the first post.

Of course you realize that your thread did exactly the same thing.

Try not to let it bother you. It's a miniscule thing in the grand scheme.

Do you only look at the first page? When I get back on the DIS, I go back several pages each time to see what's there and if there is anything I want to read or comment on..

Sometimes people are too lazy to search out a thread that already answered their question.

Another one I love is when questions are posed that could easily be answered by spending some time on Google. I like to google the same question and then post the link to the results. It's one thing if you are looking for opinions but a how do I question can usually be answered with "The Google".
