Well, I'm back from my fairytale wedding. Some of it was more like a nightmare, but we managed to salvage two fabulous days out of our 9 day honeymoon. We spent the majority of the first 3 days on the phone trying to rearrange our wedding, which was scheduled for Monday. Thanks to Hurricane Wilma our guest list was short by 13 people. My dad and his wife were the only people to show up. I felt so bad for DH, none of his family were able to show. I could tell it bothered him a lot. Up until Sunday night, our wedding was still a go for Monday morning. Our EM said it would be held in the convention center at the Yacht Club. I was so upset. If I couldn't have my guests there, I at least wanted an outdoor wedding. Later that same night she called and said they were cancelling all of the weddings and we could pick another day. We chose Tuesday morning. It was a beautiful day, the limo was coming to get us at 10:00. We were all set to go, except as of 8:30 Tuesday morning, we didn't have an officiant yet. Finally, our EM got hold of Rev. Day and he was available at 11:00, so we were all set. The ceremony was beautiful. Our EM Jennifer did a fabulous job. My flowers were exactly what I asked for and our violist played our specially requested songs, he even did a few on the fly that were just terrific. I'm going to reserve comment on the cake. Let's just say I didn't bring any of it home. ;) Rev. Day was great, just like everyone said he would be. We were so happy he was available. After the ceremony we went to lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe. On the way to the restaurant, I checked my voice mail at home and found out that I had been offered a job that I really wanted (I've been unemployed for 7 months). I couldn't believe what a perfect day it turned out to be. After lunch we hung out at the parks. Wednesday we had another great day in the parks. Then Thursday morning I got a call from home that there was a family emergency and I needed to go home. So, we cut out the last 4 days of our honeymoon. I didn't get home in time, but I gave it my best shot. :sad1:

That's about it. There were a few surprises, which were great! So, I give the wedding day and the day after a great big 10!!! The rest of the days were just too stressful for me to think about anymore. So, I won't.

We saved one bottle of the FairyTale Champagne for our first anniversary.

So, I'll post a link to the professional photos when they're available. Here's a link to some shots that we took ourselves.... The password is photo.

Thank you all so much for making this such a great wedding for me. Your tips and advice really helped immensely!

Wow Cody! Although it sounds like you had a great time despite the circumstances, I still feel so bad for you. Weather is definately one thing a bride can not control on her wedding day. It sounds like you made the most of it and did not let the events stand in your way or marrying your guy. I'm sorry the rest of your guests could not attend, but look at it this way....no you have a great excuse for planning a vow renewal in a few years!!! oh and your pictures look lovely - you both look so happy and in love.

Your pictures are absolutely beautiful, it looks like it was a great day outside. I'm so happy to hear that it all worked out in the end. Congratulations on your new job!

Congratulations, you looked beautiful on your wedding day, and I am really sorry things didn't work out so good. Maybe a VR there one day will be nice.
I am also having my ceremony at the Yacht Club, it looks very pretty. Do they decorate it inside?
I was also wondering if the lady in your pictures is Jennifer Oleary?
She is my EM.

SetzKitten, congratulations on your wedding! You and your husband looked wonderful in those photos. Thank you for sharing them with us.

By the way, I loved your flowers (for my vow renewal last October, I used a similar color palette and they turned out beautifully just like yours). And congrats on the new job. The timing of it was perfect -- you truly had the most magical day, ~sigh.~

I'm sorry to hear about all the complications surrounding your wedding, but I'm glad your day turned out to be a magical day in the end!! I guess no matter how well we plan, in the end we have very little control over these things. But you both looked gorgeous together and so happy!! It really did turn out to be a beautiful wedding!

But I am curious about the cake!! :Pinkbounc
