My Trip Report - photos to follow later

DAY 1:

We were up at 4am, didnt go to sleep until about 1ish. Had a nightmare of a morning, realised memory card didnt fit my camera, then had a woodlouse infestation so had to clear them away because i hate them! Taxi was getting annoyed with us as we were 5 m inutes late then we got out of town and I forgot our passports so had to come back and was charged £6 for the extra 1 mile!

We spent the whole day travelling, got picked up at Gloucester at 6.15 by coach was due to get to hotel at 9pm but turned up at 11.15pm! The ferry crosssing was very rough and left me feeling sick and all that night I felt as though I was bobbing around in bed lol. The room was very cold when we got there as its economy 7 storage heaters and was turned off so didnt come on ntil middle of night.

DAY 2:

Again I couldnt sleep as I felt I was bobbing around lol and was too excited.

I got up at 5.45am and the others gt up at 6.30, to shower dress and hed off for breakfast at cafe mickey. We got here about 8.10 and was here for about 40 mins then headed off for a look around the shops then into the park and spent an hour in the kodak shop trying to buy a memory card for my camera then had to buy a new 1 as they didnt stock the type I needed.

Finally got out of here about 10.45ish, we headed straight to meet Mickey and Goofy waited 20 mins max for each. Then headed to watch the snow white show, which had technical difficulties with the music so was stopped halway through.

Then we went to watch Once Upon a Time with sleeping beauty in Fantasyland (i advise you stand facing the castle for this as this is the side she faces out we stood with our back to castle so couldnt see much).

We had lunch in some place in discoveryland with the african drums playing which was nice as they then showed classic mickey cartoons after.


We then spent that afternoon going on the rides, first was Snow White, DD was scared she remembered from our last trip it scared here but didnt know why so just kept saying its scary all around this put her off peter pan and pinochio as they have similar entries so we didnt get to go on them. We did ride dumbo,

DH then went to ride POTC, BTM and and Indianna Jones rides all only had a 5 minute waiting time.

By now it was time for the OUAD parade. This is where I discovered camera was broke so after this went to sort it out thinking Ill be out to catch the tree lighting ceremony and fantullision which I waited to see for ages! I missed both and by the time Id been messed around by them and sent to cIty hall it was 7.30 so we were late for dinner at Inventions (issue still unresolved)

We got to inventions about 7.45ish as we didnt know where to go lol. We were seated infront of the buffet with a nice view overlooking the park. I couldnt eat much I had got so stressed by now that I felt really faint so just ate what I could manage. DD wouldnt eat a thing she was too excited lol. Ive added a rewiew on the restaurant reviews.

We left here about 10pm had a nose around the hotel then made our way to the village bought some bits then back to the hotel. This is when we had the sheets issue (on my other thread) so had to make the bed ourself. Think we finally got to bed about 12.30-1am! Put our camera on charge overnight although for some reason it didnt charge

DAY 3

Up at 7am to gt ready for EMH. On way to shuttle DD met Chip and Dale and Mickey at hotel so we ddnt get into the park until 8.40. As we got in we realised our camera was flat so DH went back to get charger so we could take pics at Auburge that day as the kodak shop told us city hall would charge it for us. He got back about 9.20 and city hall refused to charge it as said they would only charge batteries that came out of the cameras so I decided to sit with it charging for an hour whilst DH took DD on some rides in fantasyland so I missed more time.

At 11am we raced down to meet princess belle in fantasyland as dd was excited about this all morning then we went on teacups again lol and small world then headed off to Auburgee. After we took a stroll around fantasyland met Pocahontus, Mary Poppins and Captain Hook. Then headed off to see Mickeys Winter Wonderland followed by meet and Greet with Jesse.

We then waited for santa after 40 mins of hardly moving we decided to leave it to go and see tha parade at 5. As soon as this finished we positiong ourself outside the emporium ready for the tree lighting ceremony. This was a fab spot we saw everything here. Soon as this finished we raced down to watch Party Time and the castle lighting up then went and waited for Fanulision. Once this was over we shopped a bit for gifts then headed off for our table at Cheyenne then DD made a friend and played in the lobby for a bit before bed

DAY 4:

We had a bit of a lie in today got up at 8am and made it into the park for 10.15. Tried to take DD on the buzz ride but as it was dark as you walk in she had flash back of Snow Wite ride so we had to exit it.

We then caught Snow White show again and the sleeping beauty show this time from the front. After this we headed over to the studios rode flying carpets, the cars ride and DH walked straight onto tower of terror! Stitch ride was out of order due to technical difficulities but DD is too short for this anyway.

We then met Cinderella who remember DD from lunch the previous day and told the princes this is my friend Ellie (remembered her name) I met yesterday I was telling you about. DD was so chuffed she gave Cinderella a chocolate coin.

We then watches the stars and cars parade, DD got loads of attention off the princess's as she was in her Cinderella dress.

Then we had lunch in the Ratatouille restauarant and headed off back to the main park to watch OUAD parade for the last time

DD said she wanted to do more rides before we left so we let her choose as was the last day, we went on teacups, dumbo, small world and a look around the castle.

Then watched fantulision for the last time.

We then done some more shopping took our bags back to the hotel, collected our shopping fromt he shopping service and came back in for our table at Inventions. A review has been added for this too. We left here at 10.45 then all very sadly went pack to our room to pack

DAY 5

We got up at 8, DD met Goofy in the hotel one last tme before we had breakfast. Left the hotel at 9.45 spent another long day travelling and got home about 11.30pm last night

All in all despite the lows had a fab time, DD loved it an d was sad to come home and is already asking to go back. My feet still ache from all the walking and Ive not even started unpacking lol

im sorry it wasnt perfect but you are great to look at all the good points instead of focusing on the bad. i loved the auberge as well i will definately be going back in march. the look on their faces is reall worth it isnt it.

You put me to shame - I got home on Wednesday and haven't done a review or anything, and here you are, home last night and finished already !

What a shame you had so much drama and waiting for things to be done. I'm so glad your DD enjoyed herself so much though.

My feet are still aching as well .

lol well i thought i might aswell put it up as im way too tired to do anything else havent even unpacked yet and all my clothes are in the case

The look on DD face is worth it she loved it in the auburge and well def go back again, every visit I expect lol. Would love to take her there for her birthday but no way will I have recovered by February lol

Sounds like you had a lovely time - glad all the negatives did not put too much of a dampner on things. cant wait to see your photos.
