Me (38 and Disney Fanatic)
DH (42 always goes with the flow)
DD (14 loves Disney, but not too cool to show it)
Granddaughter ( 22 months and has been to Disney 6 times....luvs the Characters)
Mom (67 and isn't sure why she waste her time going to the parks, just does)
Family friends with their twin 16 yoa boys (Universal lovers and giving Disney a try)

We started out from far far away.......(we live in Daytona Beach) on Friday morning. We had plans to enjoy AKL and explore the resort on Friday......we arrived at noon and began exploring as of course our rooms weren't ready. We enjoyed the animals and CM's as they are so nice and informative. We then decided to spend some time at Down Town Disney, our friends really didn't get into this, as again they aren't Disney fans. I felt a bit rushed in the stores, but that's okay I've been there many times and will go back.

We had dinner at the Trails End Buffet, now I've been going there many times and this time found it very unorganized, rushed and crowded. we had 6:30pm ps and was informed immediately that they weren't reservations (I already knew that), but we'd get a table as soon as possible (an hour later we were seated), the waitress was very slow due to having too many people to wait on. The buffet was very crowded, but the food was good. (Our friends weren't impressed as we had bragged about this place to them).

We decided to head over to Old Town in Kissimmee, boy was that a mistake. We thought the weather was nice and we'd get to enjoy the "old car" parade. I hadn't been here for 8 - 10 years and has it changed. Not the same as it used to be, definately won't go back.

After a vvverryyy long dinner and short stay at Old Town, we headed back to AKL looking forward to relaxing in our rooms. The rooms were great, kind of dark though. The balcony is wonderful and we were able to see the animals at night right down in front of us. We made plans to head out to the Magic Kingdom the next morning until the weather report was an 80% chance for rain. Plans definately changed when we heard that.

Day 2 later..............

hubby and I get so excited telling people about all the nice restaurants and things to do at the parks ......that they all must think we are nuts.......hope that the next two families that go that we encouraged to go will love it like us....oh pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee.....hahaha
Thanks so much for your report........maybe we should try Trails end someday.....thanks again
