In general, I agree with you. Sometimes people make a mountain out of a molehill. That said, I did have a trip that was completely ruined. It was so bad my youngest son once wrote an essay about it. The title was "The Worst Day of My Life"
it was his ninth birthday and our second day at WDW. We had a late breakfast at Chef Mickey then went to Epcot, per his request. So far, so good. How could his birthday spent at Disney POSSIBLY be the worst day of his young life? Well, I'll tell you. It was all my fault. Clumsy me managed to fall down the dang stairs outside in Mexico. In the process I manged to break my leg and my arm! Pretty much screwed up our vacation since I spent the next 3 days in the hospital. My family tried to make the best of it but without me there to keep it all going, it was a little hard. Thankfully, it wasn't our only trip and we've had several good trips since then.
My DH caught a stomach bug or maybe it was just a bad burger on another trip but that didn't slow the rest of us down. He stayed in the villa for about a day and a half then rejoined us when he felt better. I guess it's true; if mama ain't happy, nobody's happy. But as long as mama is there, we can party on without dad!
