As our September trip approached, I was beside myself with excitement.

But here I am, 8 days from our December trip, and I keep forgetting about it. Sure sure, I'm on the Dis and other boards, but I'm on message boards all the time (laptop is in the living room, easily accessed and always connected, lol) so that's not indicative of an approaching trip for me.

DS and I are leaving next Wednesday morning, and will have 1.5 days at DL/DCA on our own! Yikes! I'm still trying to figure out what to do that first half-day, but I'm strongly leaning towards DCA.

Then we'll have all of Thursday before DH joins us late that evening. Then the three of us have Friday and Saturday, and that should be fun, though it will be a challenge packing everything we didn't do in September (shows, mainly!) into those days. On Sunday, my brother and sister in law join us, then halfway through the day DH has to fly back for work, and once the rest of us are done for the day, DS and I will continue on to San Diego for over a week with them. Where I'm sure we will visit SeaWorld and maybe even Legoland if we're brave.

I know all this intellectually, but I'm having problems getting *excited*, or feeling anything more than "omg 1.5 days on my own with my rambunctious 3.5 year old? augh!", and trying to figure out how I'm going to lug carseat, lightweight stroller (should I just check that, rather than gate-check it?), DS's little backpack, and my camera, laptop, and usual purse-related stuff through the airport...

It does not feel normal to have these near-negative feelings about this trip, when I KNOW how lucky I am to get to go again so soon!!!!!!!!!

You will have a fantastic time. Disneyland at Christmastime is magical!!!!!! And don't worry about time alone with the little one. Follow his lead and it will be much easier than trying to follow any schedule that you have in mind.

Well, I am certainly a little jealous... I was there the same time you were there last and wish I could come before Xmas - I can't make it back until January 2nd!! I am hoping I won't be over the whole Holiday thing by then as I am REALLY looking forward to seeing it - but something about seeing Sanat after Xmas isn't the same, KWIM??? SO I hope you have a good time and perhaps even get dreamed!

Cheers!

Aw dont worry about hauling the stuff through the airport.. I got a little cart thing at walmart to help me out with that. I went to Sacramento for 2 weeks in April, just me and the youngens.. I had all the car seats, and various whatnots the kids need to travel.. Plus 2 weeks luggage. But we made it, and I didnt even forget the kids!:rotfl2:

I leave on the 20th, and I have no excitement at all yet. i hope it will come, but who knows?

1/2 day I would do Disneyland since they are open till 8pm instead of 6pm like DCA, just my opinion. Crowds will most likely be light on Wed. anyway, take advantage of it.

Can you ship the car seat to your brothers house and have him bring it to you? One less item to lug around, and yes check the stroller at baggage check. All the rest of the stuff should go smoother than you think.

Relax and have fun...........
