Hi there!

Looks as if I won't be going to Disneyland in the beginning of September!
Apparently there were problems with the hotel that the bus company here
in Sweden had (Hotel Kyriad).´

The good news is that I can rebook the trip with a 800 kr. discount. I also
had a 200 kr present card, and if I can rebook the trip by internet, I'll get
another 100 kr. discount. So that's a 1100 kr. savings from the total amount!
(or about $200/free entrance) :cool1:

The question that remains is WHEN I go. The recommendation is going
in September on the 21st. I also can go in May, around my birthday. Both
trips are about the same price. I can slso go in the beginning of August,
when the fireworks are on, as well.

My sister will be here in July, and she'll be leaving again around the same
time as the August trip.

When do you think I should go to Disneyland? I'm not sure at this point,
aithough I suspect that the weather will be in my favor in September, even
at a later date.

Any ideas or good tips are welcome! Getting a discount is a great service
from the bus companý, too! I hope to resolve this soon!

Last year we went in September and had a wonderful time, clear sky most of the days even if a bit chilly at times and the crowds were not too bad and we just used our fastpasses for Space Mountain.

I have never been in Summer but i think the fireworks are a great show plus the Electrical Parade should be on if i am not wrong.

When I went in the summer years and years ago, the fireworks were wonderful, but it was so busy! It was almost unbearable with the heat as well, had to queue for most rides for over an hour... But, the bustle and the atmosphere were great. I can't comment on the other times of the year, but thats my summer experience!!

Sorry to hear about your trip being cancelled. Good news though about the discounts:thumbsup2

I would say September would be a good time to go as the crowds won't be as big, although in August you do get the fireworks but the downside will be the crowds.

I don't think it will be too busy in May so you could have your trip then, what a great way to celebrate your birthday.

We will be there in May, one thing to remember is UK school holidays are in the last week so it might be busy then. Unless you really want the fireworks I would personally go in May or September but that's just my opinion.
Great to get the discount though!

Hi there,

I decided to rebook the trip for the week of September 21st!
the rtebooking resulted in getting some money back from the
buss company, which I think is a great gesture. I really got
a nice deal on this trip, I think.

So, I'll be in Paris/Disneyland between the 22nd and 24th of
September!

Shame your original trip got cancelled but yay :yay: now you're re-booked and with a bargain!!! :wizard:

Thanks Elaine and everyone else!

The main thing is that the bus company has integrity! At least I was
able to book in a new trip. There wasn't much the bus company could
do. I'm glad to save some more money. I actually could use that for
my ticket to the Manhattan Transfers, when they come here at the end
of June.

So, I cannot be disappointed. I'm actuallly glad this happened :cool1:

I'm still looking forrward to the trip! Who knows? Maybe I'll meet someone
who's been here on the boards. ;)

I almost got screwed.. again...

I checked the booking again this morning on the internet. Apparently, the
rebooking's discount was not correct, since they just reduced it by 500 kr,
instead of 800 kr, as it stated in the letter. It's a good thing I called to
tell them. They appoligized and so now the booking is correct.

I then realised that I had a nice discount on my trip this time, at about
700 kr. So I asked if I could get a present card for my next trip with them.
The next time I book for a trip, I'll be able to save 600 kr for booking early,
PLUS the 700 from the discount for the rebooking this time.

Not a bad deal with this bus company, I'd say! :cool1:

Now, I'm really looking forward to the trip in September! It'll take a bit longer,
but I don't mind it. I'm so glad to save money on this trip, too!

Also, take note of my new Signature and Ticker as well. I think the
staff and trumpet clearly define my character! Just got back from a
Jazz festival.

:thumbsup2

Thats great that you have managed to sort it out:thumbsup2
