My travel delay insurance experience

I just went out to purchase trip interruption from Bcaa. I have a Aeroplan infinite that covers all this but I now fly on Alaska so I use my Alaska MC to pay for flights, and they don't have all the travel insurance that Visa has, even though it's a World Elite. It does however give us 1 companion fare a year! So I suck it up and buy trip interruption. Especially going to Florida during hurricane season, or traveling in winter with possibility of flight delay or cancellation. Doesn't generally happen in Pacific NW, but last winter was brutal.
