My dd16 and I were going to head to WDW tomorrow night, but she has been sick with a headache all week, loss of appetite, fatigued for 2 weeks and it seems to be getting worse not better. We are heading out the door to the doctor. He is thinking its possibly mono.

I WISH the TEAM best of luck, we are so sorry we are going to miss it.

My pity party - I have missed 4 out of 5 races that I have registered for in the last 2 years due to acute health issues (mostly my kids'). Oh well, they will be grown too soon.

On the bright side, I have been more consistant in exercising over the last year than I have my entire life. It is absolutely worth the registration fees.

Everyone have an awesome time!!!

Maggie,
I am sorry we won't get to meet you at ToT. I hear what you are saying about registering for races - both sides of it. Nothing is more motivating to get me out the door and running than an event. However, it is VERY discouraging when you have done the training and then BAM - you can't do it, for whatever reason. I got my a race plan messed up this summer by DH's flight delay, of all things. I didn't even have to go more than 15 minutes to get there, but I couldn't get anyone to watch my son that early in the morning on such short notice. It does sound like you have had more than your share of cancellations. Here's a good luck charm for the next race you register for. :shamrock:

Maggie sorry to hear you won't be making it to the TOT. Hope your dd gets better soon that is no fun.

I am so sorry!!

My poor DH woke up in the hotel with a stomach virus the morning of the Minnie Marathon. Luckily, I had already left for the race. I came back to DD7 trying to take care of DS1 and DH wallowing in self-pity.

I still laugh wondering what I would have done on race morning if I had known he was sick...

Tell DD to get well!

Oh, Maggie! I am so sorry you aren't going to make it to ToT. We will miss you! :sad1: Sending you hugs, sweetie! I sure hope DD doesn't have mono. Poor kid.

:grouphug: I echo Cam's response, Maggie! Family first, then the events, kiddo. Keep up all the good work and we'll see you soon!! :goodvibes Anne

Maggie - I am so sorry to hear that you won't be able to make it. I sure do hope your DD starts feeling better soon. There isn't much worse than a sick kid, except maybe having to miss a race because of a sick kid!!

Oh no Maggie! I'm so sorry we'll miss you! Hope dd is better soon!

Thanks guys. Thinking of you all at WDW.

You will be in my thoughts this evening. I hope the race is better organized than the expo (according to reports).

dd is feeling better. Good news is she doesn't have mono. Bad news, it may be stress that is making her feel this way. She is in her junior year and is extremely type A (polar opposite of me). Thanks for the well wishes. This too shall pass. She has a strong support system.

Today ds5 woke up with an eye infection that has swollen his eye half shut, so I am really glad to be home for him.

Hope tonight is just awesome and party on!! Can't wait to read the reports when you all return home.
Maggie

Look on the bright side, that discusting little slice of evil, Robert, isn't pasting pictures of you all over the boards.

Looking forward to meeting you at the next one.
