My tickets have arrived but they're not real

They're 'e' tickets. I am told that if I take them to the airline check in they will exchange them for my boarding passes but it's just not the same. The car hire voucher was with them so now I am just waiting for the theme park tickets to arrive - hope they are real ones not vouchers!

I am starting to go into panicking mode with so much to do and to think about and so little time..........

Hi Sue

Don't panic E tickets are becoming the norm for airlines now. All your reservation information is held on the magnetic strip, this is a quicker way to administer tickets and also easier to reprint should there be a problem (ie e ticket being lost) just use it like a normal ticket no problem.

Where did you purchase your theme park passes from? Some suppliers do vouchers others do the "real thing"

For the plane tickets we booked online with BA for our trip over on Boxing Day, we havent even been sent E-tickets or vouchers - I just print off a copy of the confirmation Email BA sent me, present it at the check-in desk, and, like you Sue, we just get our boarding passes then !

A DD Dad says, this is becoming the norm with airlines now - last October in NYC, I had to go to a machine in the Delta terminal at JFK, put a number into it and it issued my onward tickets to Orlando, again booked online, there and then.

Clever and convenient, but it's just not the same as getting your tickets in the mail, it's all part of the build up to the trip...
