as asked for in the chat the outher day someone asked me to post my thoughts on the DVC resorts as we have stayed at all of them now we tend to stay in a studio as we use it just to sleep and keep beers cold
BWV this is our home resort and it is our least fav one why think its too big long walks from the lifts and we have had problems with rooms many times like people somkeing in them before us,with a child with astmia and always requested non smokeing can be a pain the pool slide always seems bumpey to me and car park far from rooms on the plus side its close to epcot and short boat to MGM easy to stock up if no car as Hess just right outside beers cheaper than disney by 50%, nice to walk round in evening
Vero This is where we signed up to DVC when we did a stay before you buy type package 3 nights BWVand 4 nights Vero when we went to presentation just told them to not bother with trying to sell it just get out the documents to sign LOL.Love it as on the beach pool guards know kids names after first day nice place to relax after a hectic time at WDW on the minus side not much around but that might of changed as it was a few years ago since our last visit
VWL room views lovely like the quiet pool and the main pool also like its position inside MK area makes it easy to pool hop to poly and contempory
BCV rooms seem a little small but we always have had a large balcony when we have stayed there so its always nice to have breakfast on it, storm along bay as always closenes to epcot and mgm like the quiet pool as its easy to get to rooms for those all importent beerslove beaches and cream on the minus side a lot of hastle for pool chairs peole leving things on then going to parks
HHI love it as much as vero if not more think you need at leest a week as it take a while to explore the island loved watching lightning form room love the slide dident mind trip in car to beach and there are plenty of activitys going on on at the beach hut/pool loved trying to get sand dolars (always put them back)Minus long drive from disney
OKW rooms ar bigger compaired to all the outher dvc resorts like that there is ice machines neer pool keep beers cold again that you can park car close to room
SSR stayed 3 days before its officiel oppening staye 3 times since and i think this is our fav resort like that its near to DD so you can have a nice walk in the evening and we like to eat at DD as well main pool is nice there have had a few problems with the kiddie water fountin but thats sorted out now love the view from rooms overlooking DD nice to have breackfast watching them fish on the lake in the morning never had any problems with the construction going on only thing dont like is that you share turf club with the golf club would of brought up the lack of restorant but they seam to be sorting that out now but we are more likely to eat at DD
