My Theory on "Server too Busy"

Hey all my fellow Dis Addicts.

So I've come up with a theory as to why we keep getting this server too busy silliness.... it's like a 12 step program to help us with our addiction!!!

I don't know about you, but whenever I see 'server too busy' I start to panic... there's sweating, shaking, chills, hallucinations of being back on the disboards.... what if the dis boards never come back?

When I see it too many times in a row, I just head over to another site for a while. It's too aggravating when it happens several times in a row and I never see the problem on any other site.

I find that I am Dissing less and less mainly to the "server too busy cr*p". It's too aggravating.

I agree with everyone who says it is a bit annoying. It happens to me more than just at lunch time. Must be all the Christmas computers kicking into gear...

I've been getting it constantly day or night, for two straight days... How many times you think I had to try to send this?

Go figure, I'm down to the finilization of my trip planning and this happens when I need the DIS the most!

I think it's a very busy time for planning trips, right after the holidays. I hit refresh over and over again, all while surfing other Dis sites in the meantime!

So of course when I try to open up this very thread, I get the dreaded "server busy" page.

It's not just this board. I'm in the middle of planning a cruise and my favorite cruise site is having major issues too. Coincidentally, they're both the same type of board.

The internet has been acting up all day for me.

I've been getting this for weeks as well - no matter what time of day! It's a real pain because my other fav message board, Scrapshare, is constantly down as well, so some days when I need a break from work, there is no break to be had as these server issues cause me more stress - LOL!!!
