My teenager and school

My DS who is in 8th grade has informed us that he doesn't understand why he needs to go to school because he has learned everything he needs to know.
We (DH and I) explained to him,at great length, why he was wrong but he still didn't understand, or at least he didn't agree.
Please tell me I will survive these next few years.

Let him apply for a job. He will most likely understand then The difference between minimum wage and someone with bachelor's degree just might get his attention

when she lived with us was to one day pull her out of school and took her down to the unemployment office. As we drove her the We told her if she want to drop out of school she has to live in the real is like. We told her if you want to drop out of school you have to get a job and keep it then, then in 6 months she has to get her on place. so we gave her a list of apartments and how much for rent.

She begged us to take her back to school

You can also do what Bill Cosby did to his son on the Cosby Show he had play money and asked the kid how much does he expect to make, and then Bill Gave it to him then they went down the list taxes, rent, rental insurance, food, money, electric bill, cable, bill, car, car insurance, gas, tags for the car, food, water bill, how much for a girl friend, and he was left with 5.00. and the job was a gas station attendent because he didnt want to go to college

Good luck just rember it helps best if both parents agree on the education, Just stick together and get involved with the school. It may sound lame, but it may work, go to Football games. plays, pta meetings etc...
