. . . and one of his benefits is that his family gets free admission. 24 screens, so almost everything plays there. He also can take a guest when he goes himself, so no more paying for his girlfriend. Now, if only we got free popcorn . . .

Excellent benefits. I could have another trip to WDW if I didn't have to pay for so many movies each summer! HAVE FUN and ENJOY THE MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is so cool. I always wanted to work in a movie theatre when I was a teen, since I've always (and still do) spend a ton of money on movies. I'll have to work on my kids when they get old enough. :p Gotta love free movies for the whole family! :)

That is wonderful!!! Oh wait..can I be adopted for a movie:p

That is awesome for your son. Gotta love the benefits and perks of free movies. My ds has a lifeguard job for the summer. I told him to ask the boss if his brothers can come and swim for free. He said he would ask soon. Wanted to wait till he was there awhile. He also works at a bowling alley and gets us good deals when we go. Gotta love it. Enjoy and have fun.

This brings back memories! Both of my DSs first jobs were at AMC! Loved those free movies but we didn't get to go anytime we wanted and couldn't go to those that were just opening.

Cool. How much does a movie cost these days? $7.
Great benefits too.

Movie theaters are up to $10 here. They are mostly 8-9 range.

He is doing orientation this week, so I guess I'll get more details then. It may turn out that we have restrictions like Pinnie did. I can live with that. Evening movies for adults are $8.50.

DS already made a sacrifice to work there -- he got his beautiful blond hair cut! It had to be above the collar and he couldn't have visible piercings or tatoos -- no problem there! Hair's still not short, so I'm sure he'll still get plenty of attention from the girls.

Congrats!

I worked in a theatre for a while when I was a teen. It was very easy work...of course, back then we only had 2 screens in the theatre I worked at. The largest in town only had 4! LOL! Since all the theatres were the same company we could go anywhere in town for free...usually myself plus one, although on slow nights they'd let me bring 3 or 4 friends for free.

I think my job consisted of selling tix mostly, then kicking back, eating popcorn and chit-chatting for an hour or 2 until the next round. Oh, and playing frogger and centipede! I'm sure things are different with these multiplexes!
