My TDS closed and I didn't even know it

I feel so badly, I spent the whole day at the OB on Tuesday, and I had my 3 yr old DS with me. I promised him that if he was a good boy, I would take him to TDS and we could get something. He was pretty good at the office, so I drove up to the mall, waddled to the door holding his hand, and waddled to what used to be the front of TDS :-( Windows had black tarp on them and our store was gone! I knew that some were closing, in fact, I remember looking at a list somewhere of affected stores and mine wasn't on it How come I didn't know?? WAH Does anyone have a list of affected stores? I coulda sworn my store was not on it. No more snowglobes, or Disney Dollars. or just browsing when I need a Disney fix

I know what you mean!!! I just found out today that mine is closing also!!!! I am going to try to make it to their closing sale though!!!!!

I just walked through the Mentor Mall Disney Store yesterday at lunch. Other than the display of WDW ticket media and a couple of Disney "Beanies", there wasn't much in the store that I was interested in.

It used to be so much fun going to the Disney Store. Now it just seems like a waste of time. When my kids were little, it was a whole lot more fun.

So sorry that you had to disappoint your DS.

The only list that I've seen is a list of stores that have announced they are closing, but most of them are closed now and it's only limited to people who post about it and it's not inclusive of all stores.

The time from when the company informs a store that it is closing and its actual closing day is often two weeks or less. Unfortunately the company does not have a master list of closings available to the public or cast members. I'm sure somebody somewhere knows but they are very tight-lipped about it.

This happened to me a month or so ago. I went in to buy some Disney Dollars and it was the day before they closed their doors. They were having a big sale, but there was really nothing left. It was very sad. I am lucky because there is another one about 30 miles from me. So I can at least get a fix if I need it.
