It's decent.
We stayed for 6 nights, no major problems, but might try somewhere different next time.
Getting there was a pain waiting for the Mears bus from the airport. Took forever (and I'm not saying that because I was anxious and we spent the whole day travelling from California... flight delays etc...). Seriously it took us two and half hours from the airport to the resort with only two stops before ours. Going back though was much shorter and easier. When we got in they offered to help us with luggage but we really just wanted to go eat, so they were nice and took our luggage to our room while taking us to the food place.
The staff was nice. We really didn't ever see any staff come to think of it, a couple nice bellmen and rental place workers and that was it. Can't complain about them except for slow food service, and a mean response from a waiter or something at Shutters who gave us an awefully unwelcoming response when we checked to see if the restaurant was still open at 9:55 pm (5 minutes before closing but didn't get seated).
Didn't get a chance to eat at their restaurant because it (like all everything else in Disney World closes way too early). The fast food they had there was just that, I wouldn't recommend settling for their food court especially given how crowded it was. Actually it took about 15 minutes just to get a burger. The Banana Cabana outside had only a small menu and the drinks weren't that great. Never tried room service or breakfast on property. With so many restaurants all over Disney World, make sure to keep your options open. We mainly wanted to try eating at places where we would never get the oppurtunity to go in real life, like at World Showcase in Epcot, or some of the fancier hotels.
The pools were always crowded when we wanted to use them, and you aren't allowed to swim in the lake they have which is lame and makes the beach pointless for people like me. Although using the little boats on the lake was fun. There was a serious lack of Caribbean atmosphere there. No steel drums, not many tropical settings. Just sort of regular. Nothing like the real Carribean or Bahamas.
We only had a few days at Disney World so we really didn't spend much time at the hotel, but using it for sleep was a-ok. Transportation to the parks and other hotels was a bit of a pain sometimes, but for the most part there aren't any better options. The only quicker way I can see is to stay at an actual park resort, with monorail or boat connections. The buses probably take just as long as a car, but they do take quite some time. From when you leave your room to when you walk through the gate at any of the parks could really be an hour. While the buses ran, I'd say around every 15 minutes at the resort, waiting at the parks was a pain because sometimes they would come maybe once in 45 minutes and of course you couldn't get on because of a huge line. Sometimes you are better off taking a less crowded bus somewhere else and transferring. Their shuttle system could really use some improvement, but it's pretty much the only way to get around.
Alot has changed at Disney World since we last went there about a dozen years ago, but I will post my thoughts in the other forum place. Long story short... don't expect the Caribbean beach to be anything like the Caribbean. It's really just a quiet, but crowded, hotel spread over a large property with few unneccessary amenities but few pleasurable luxuries. If this is a moderate resort I can only image how boring and lame the value resorts are. Then again, staying at the Contemporary all those years ago it wasn't that much better. I expected more but wasn't unsatisfied with what I got.

I agree Sea Spray, those frozen Pina Colada's are fabulous!
