My SW airfare for summer went up!

I see the flights from Pittsburgh went up for the summer. I already bought one way to MCO in early Aug. and am waiting for their release dates for the return trip which is after Aug. 9th. Anybody else see an increase in summer fares? I hope the new fares coming out aren't as expensive. I have rapid rewards points but I may have to buy some more points if I'm a little short.

As seats are filled, the prices go up for that particular flight. That doesn't mean new flights will be that price.

yup I waited on my june fares till I was all booked and now they went up...I might fly airtram for one way cause better time and cheaper

My SW Easter fares (from Buffalo) were 308 each way two weeks ago, then last week they were 100 each way. Now they are 124 each way. I am all booked at 100 each way, including taxes, but I still keep watching just in case they dip lower. I think it's fascinating (and sometimes frustrating...) to watch how often fares fluctuate. Keep watching yours because chances are good they might go lower.

I have been tracking Delta flights for a month now. For travel in June.

they have fluctuated between 197 and 330! I booked at 203 after they went up and down.

Yesterday they were 260, today 250!

The flights are almost empty!

No rhyme or reason!

It wasn't just my one particular flight that went up, it was all of them for that day and some other dates in June and August that I was thinking of switching to. They have not moved up or down since I started watching them 6 weeks ago. I think I will just end up keeping my August flight and hope that on Feb. 4th my return flight will be low.
