I think you said you were in Greenup. Random thing but I remember when I was in HS their cheerleaders made it to the nationals. I think their colors were green and gold if I remember correctly ??? Just funny that's the first thing I thought of when I read that.

Hey Erica, I've been reading your and Dawn's TR....great BTW. Glad you're here. The new camera did really well and was so much easier to carry around. You have a really good memory. Greenup is kind of known for cheerleading. They've won Nationals quite a few times. Not sure of how many because I'm not originally from here but I know it's alot.

Me and my girlfriend are 22 and 23... we've been together since we were 15! Chilhood sweethearts. I booked a suprise trip for us. We're going in September for a full 2 weeks, to coincide with our anniversary. We'll be doing Disney for the most part, but also Discovery Cove and Sea World. We're both Disney fanatics! And she was so thrilled when I told her I had been working my *** off and riding the overtime train and had saved secretly to pay for it.

We've both been several time before but never together. We did Disnelyland Pari (we're in the UK) for our 5th anniversary, but this will be that much better!

I'll let you into a secret to - there'll be a proposal whilst we're there

World Showcase​

When I last left you we were walking around the lodge taking pictures. We were just in awe of how beautiful it was there. Since it was after 2:00 at this point we decided we better head on over to Epcot. We headed down to the bus stop and only had to wait a few minutes before our bus came. We were on our way to our first park and I was so excited. We decided on this trip we wanted to spend the majority of our time in the World Showcase......looking in the shops and stuff. Before we could start looking around the countries, we had to go find a locker. We had dinner reservations at Yachtsman Steakhouse at 6:30 and had brought our clothes to change into with us. We found out there are lockers at the International Gateway so this worked out really well. We got our bag put away and headed for France. I had to try one of the Grey Goose Citron slushes. It was so good, not strong at all.
It had a slightly tart taste, but very refreshing.​

We were starving from traveling all day but we didn't want to have a big meal since we were eating at YS later. So we decided to use a snack credit and get some popcorn.

Then we started exploring the countries. We took our time and really looked around the shops. It's amazing the things we've never seen before. We're usually just running around looking for the Kidcot stations.​

We spotted a "hidden Mickey". I'm not very good at spotting them but this one was in plain sight.

The "Epcot birds" were out in full force, dive bombing everyone. I tried to take a picture of them. The sky was full of them. I caught a few but I think they sensed the camera coming out and flew the other way.

We wondered around some more and I decided to try on a few hats.

While we were in Mexico we stopped to look at the little carved animals. I think these are so cute.

As we were walking through the countries I saw these birds. They weren't trying to attack anyone, just peacefully taking in their surroundings. I thought they looked cute.

We have never seen the Beatles tribute band. We stopped to listen to them and they were really good.

As we were leaving United Kingdom I saw a window display that reminded of me of my friend Rachel. (AKA- jjk on the disboards)

When we headed into Japan we weren't greated by the beautiful pagoda (is that what it's called?). This is what it looked like.

Since the tea stand was right across from this I decided to try the Peach Snap. Let me tell you this is my new favorite thing.

By now it was getting time to head over to the locker and get changed for dinner. We quickly changed, locked our other clothes back up and headed through the Internatinal Gateway on our way to dinner.​

I got a little discouraged when I sae the ME line. I was afraid our whole trip might be like that. But it did move pretty quickly and we never had lines like that again.

Yachtsman Steakhouse​

When I last left you, we had changed clothes and were heading through the World Showcase to dinner. We were a little early so we took our time and enjoyed our walk. We made it over to the Yacht Club and didn't see a sign for the restaurant so we had to ask for directions.​

We ended up checking in about 30 minutes early and were seated about 5 minutes later. Our waiter came and we were so surprised to see they had personalized our menus. I've read about restaurants doing this, but I had kind of forgotten about it. So this was a surprise. We loved the bread the waiter brought. The basket had 2 onions rolls and I think the other was sourdough. There was also fresh garlic and butter. This made the rolls wonderful.​

For my appetizer, I got the chilled seafood salad. It was OK. The seafood in it was good but there was some kind of fruit that was really sour. Once I got it all picked out it tasted much better.

DH chose the Beef Popovers for his appetizer. It was basically a little meat filled roll. The meat inside tasted like the meat in beef stew. I thought these were good.

For our entrees we both chose steaks. I ordered the Filet Mignon. We both thought our steaks were cooked perfectly and very tasty. Neither one of us could finish them, though.

Dh got the Porterhouse.

Before we could order dessert, our waiter brought us a special anniversary treat. YUM!! Chocolate truffles.

For dessert I got the apple dessert. Very good.

And DH ordered the banana one. He thought it was very good also.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The food was good but it was a little bit noisy, not very romantic.
