I went to Jo-Ann's today to just "look around"
at their scrapping stuff. I didn't see anything that I just had to have so I headed on back to the Clearance/Damaged aisles. After digging through the very messy shelves, I saw a Sizzix machine box. It said it was "damaged". The box had been written on to say that the cutting pad was missing. I opened the box to check it out. The machine was perfect, still wrapped in plastic, with all the cardboard packing, just no cutting pad.
So how much did I pay for the "damaged" Sizzix? $21.00!!!!
I was sooooo excited! I ran over to the regular Sizzix stuff, got a $4.00 replacement pad, and strutted happily to the checkout!
So of course when I got home, I got the fever to but some dies... after all, what good is the machine with no dies?
I went on Ebay, bought THREE alphabet sets (Fun Serif Uppercase, Doodle Block Uppercase alphabar, and the Graffiti Sizzlets WITH A CONVERTER!) for $150.00!!!!
I can't believe I got a Sizzix machine, three alphabets, and a converter for $175.00!!!!
I swear, I'm not gloating. I just wanted to share my joy with my fellow scrappers!!!
