I am always on here complaining about my DH and his lack of gift giving skills.

Well, I wanted to share a story of his good side.

Last night, at 2:30 in the morning we hear the dreaded words from our 5 year old daughters room. "I threw up!". So, my DH is up, right next to me, bleaching, cleaning and running the washer. She threw up all night long, and each and every time, he was up, holding her hair, handing me towels etc.

Then, all day today while she was sick, he stayed home with us and was right there next to me all day while we worried about her, making her little cups of pedialite, went down and bought lion kind 1 and a half and brought back a girly movie for me then snuggled up with us all on the couch to watch it, sick kids and all.

And now, next night, DS is coming down with it, and he heard the words 'throw up' and came running with his paper towels, clorox and plastic bags. What a site.....my Knight with shining hefty bags.

Now, if that isn't romance, I don't know what is!!

He sounds like a very loving, devoted husband and father! (Mine used to run the other way!!)

That kind of romance seems so much more important than flowers & candy when you're in the midst of caring for your babies!! He sounds like a true keeper!!

When everyone is well again, make sure you take some time to pamper him!

I remember your original thread and yes, that is romance! After all, any guy can go to the store and BUY something but it takes someone who really cares about you and your (collective) family to deal with vomit. I honestly don't know what gift could be better than that!

OH NO!!!! While im happy your DH was such a great help, im so sorry for you that you have that flu in your house!! We had it last weekend, let me tell you its aweful, and you probably all get it, all 7 of us did, 4 of us had it at the same time! Luckily its mostly a 24 to 36 hour thing

Saying a prayer for ya!!!

Ugg, she is still sick today and they can't get her in at her doctors office.

Guess I'm off to the ER.

Keep us updated. I hope it's nothing serious.

btw, does your hubby have a brother?? ;)

Let us know how she's doing. I hope she'll be better very soon.

I know what you mean about DH's help being so romantic! I have often told my DH that one of the most wonderful, romantic things he does for me is changing our babies' poopy diapers!

Hope your family will emerge from this yuck soon! :)
