26.00 so FAR! I thought it was getting better, in fact I stopped putting the Stye Cream on it on Sunday. This morning I woke up, and my eye lid is RED and Swollen 2 times it size!  So, to the Doctor I went 15.00 co-pay, and got Anibacterial Cream-10.00! Plus for some reason, he told me to put a little Baby Shampoo on it before I put on the Anti-bacterial Creme! That has been MY day, How was Yours?:o

I am sorry to hear that your eye (or stye rather) has not gotten any better.

I hope it goes away soon.- They really hurt and are annoying.

Baby shampoo is a good eye cleaner. It's soap, and designed not to burn when it gets in your (or your baby's) eyes. If I ever get anything in my eye or have problems, I'll wash with Baby shampoo....

Hope your eye feels better soon!

Wow that is a lot, but maybe now it will get well. I have had styes but never had to go to the doctor with one. Back when my children were younger and would get pink eye I was always told to bathe their eyes with baby shampoo.

Oh my goodness! I hope it clears up soon -- both for the sake of your wallet and your comfort. I can't even imagine what it must feel like to have a stye for this long.

Awww, man! I'm sorry you ended up having to go to the doctor for that nasty ol' stye! But look at the bright side - it will be better very soon now that you have a prescription and be thankful this didn't happen right before your upcoming WDW trip! Now that would be really bad. :(

Hope you're feeling much better real soon! :)

After I read the label on the Baby Shampoo I realized WHY I was going to have to use it. Anyway, put the first treatment on, and it made it FEEL better, but It is still a little . Hope it is MUCH better by Friday, as I leave for St. Augustine Fl.:o I swear, I have the STUPIDEST things to have to go to a Doc. for!

Poor Faith - I sure hope it goes away before the weekend! Good luck.

OMG! I can't get over that y'all think $26 is a lot! I'm wondering who supplies your doctor's ointment if he can sell it for only $10!!

My son has something called blepharitis. DIS doctors, please excuse my spelling, but I'm in the neighborhood, I think. His eyelid used to swell and turn red. Seemed like it often happened when he was ill, or had a stye, etc.

He used to use a cream called Blepharide (again forgive the creative spelling). He used warm compresses and cleaned it with baby shampoo.

Our eye doctor said it was a form of eczema on the "lid margins of the eye". Sometimes an eye infection follows an outbreak if flakes of skin rub off and go into the eye. My sympathy if this is what you have. It can be miserable. The good news is that the meds have always helped him once we knew what to use. Good luck!

Faith - glad to hear your eye is so much better today! Hope you have a great trip with your DH this weekend. :)

I used to get styes when I was young, and one thing I learned is you can use all the creams and ointments and Baby Shampoo you want, but these things have to take their course. Just be real careful when you touch your eye that you wash your hands thoroughly and try not to touch your other eye at all. They spread very easily.
