My stupid question of the day for fl residents

I took a better look at the tickets they are value tickets wich explains the random blackout dates I just hope our dates are not effected

If it makes you feel any better, we planned a last minute surprise trip to celebrate my son's birthday this past April. His aunt and uncle came with us! We booked our (non-refundable) accommodations and then tried to book FP. The FP system was not allowing us to book anything for my husband. When I called Disney for help, the CM told me that our dates were blacked out for our APs. We still went and had a great time (kids said it was their favorite trip ever). I felt like such an idiot, but we made the best of it!

ETA - In a final twist, we realized on our last day that the blackout dates for our trip had actually been lifted by Disney.

I've seen this quite a few times. Someone in front of us gets a blue mickey head when trying to enter, CM raises hand, iPad CM comes over to scan the guests magic band, sees their ticket type and has to tell them their in a blackout period and don't have access to the park.

I had gold AP the past few years but this year went with silver, so always have to double check to make sure there's no blackout dates

Same here... interestingly when I looked for the blackout date list this morning only the Platinum passes are shown and it says that other passes are no longer available. I hope this is a temporary bug in the WDW web site and not an indication that the Gold and Silver passes are being phased out.

Same showed for me but once I logged into MDE, all the others popped up.

I am frequently befuddled by the logic of the WDW web site.
