Ok, so I was very undecided about taking our stroller (we were flying out of Newark) and our just turned 3 YO is a good 40 pounds. I have my old Graco stroller and thought it'd be best to take it.

Thank god we did. We used it to help with the luggage, by stringing a few bags over and under it. At the airport we just unloaded and loaded it right at the gate. It also was a bit of a walk to the car rental, and having our son buckled into the seat helped when he would have wanted to be running around nuts.

We stayed outside of the parks and used that stroller every day we went to the parks, except at TL. It helped us so much, even though our son won't sleep in it reclined, it's got to be much more comfortable to sit in than the hard plastic ones. In addition, we parked and walked to the car quite a bit and on more than one occasion, he fell asleep in there.

THe stroller barely made it back in one piece, it's been used so hard these past few years, but until he's at least 4, we'll use our own stroller. I'm sure some people look and see that our son is big and he looks a bit silly in the stroller, but it worked great for us. He's still to young to walk as much as we do at the parks, and my poor husband's shoulders can't handle much more of his requests to sit up there the whole day.
