I just came across this post and wanted to congratulate your son on his accomplishment M4M! That's great that he made it into the UFC! They're a top-notch organization from what I hear.

Maybe he thinks the mohawk / hair style will make him stand out more and make him more memorable when he fights?

Yes he has fought , he just came home from a tour this week .

Congratst to him! DH loves watching UFC and really wants to do some MMA but I'm glad he hasn't had the free time. I always tell him that I don't think I could watch him fight and if my son wanted to do I would be even worse.
