I learned a few things about my son while on vacation at POP last week. I observed for the first time his desire to be a "big boy" we were with my sister and her family their kids are 6,4 and 2 the 2 year old is 6 months older than my son but way further ahead in development (I think having older brothers helps her) my son wanted to do everything the big kids did. It was cute but he became quite a handful.
But the worst thing I realized is that my poor son has my coordination.. Boy is he clumsy!!! It became the joke during our trip. He was playing in the goofy fountains and was really interested in the car. He was running near it tripped and fell and hit his head on the chrome at the bottom. He had a very nasty cut and had a lot of blood. Luckily my BIL is an ER Dr. so he checked him out and said that luckily it was a clean cut. He ran to the store and got some butterfly strips and cleaned him up for us. But I would have taken him to the ER if we were not with a Dr. My son ran into anything in his way. He was tough thank goodness but he took some hard falls and major spills. HIs head seemed to take the brunt of it. I have always warned my husband that he could have my athletic ability (which would be none)but more poor husband held out hope that our son would be the next star. We will have to see but I am begining to think he might keep the bench warm like his mommy did. Poor little guy!!
