...for show and tell and someone stole it. :guilty: This year he was really into the pressed pennies. Ran all over the parks hitting every machine he found! We got him the book and FILLED it along with a few others in a RainForest Cafe pressed penny book.

It makes me so mad that a child can't even take something in for show and tell anymore. I shouldn't have let him, it was against my better judgement, but he was so proud and excited to show the other kids.

Can I just walk down the street and punch that little thug, you know he took them.....

Poor Jack. I don't say that very often. :guilty:

That's crazy. Does he remember the last time he saw it? Left it in the classroom? I'd be talkingt to the teacher asap. How old is he and his classmates? That's just crazy, theft in young kids like that? WoW!

i wish i could say this surprised me but it doesnt
they tell the kids to bring nothing to school they wouldnt want missing
wow id be soooo mad

We did talk to the teacher and she said that she is going to get the principal to make a school wide announcement Monday- but we'll never see it again. I guess some kid was probably envious of Jack's trip and his collection.... guess it means more to that kid than it did us. Jack will get to go to WDW again in a couple of years....

fortunately, they were not stolen. I cannot believe that! If these kids knew how long it took to fill a book...OMG!!

Anyway, you had to let him take it. What use is it if you can't share it? Pixie dust to you, hoping that it shows up!!

Would you like me to write a letter to the little thug and post it here???

You know I have a lot of experience with such things.....

Hugs to Jack!

I'm so sorry. That really sucks!!!!!! :grouphug: for your guy!

That is awful!! I hope an honest parent finds them in their kid's backpack!

I feel so bad for your son. That is terrible. My DD a couple of years ago took one of my favorite Irish music cds to school for St Patrick's day and someone actually stold that. Surprised me of all things to steal. Seems like it doesn't matter what the item is any more. It is stolen just for the fun of it. :confused3

my DD goes to private school and they steal anything thats not nailed down. They are very jealous of her and her Disney adventures .It seams every time she tells another tale something goes missing .PAP's was the last and they took her TI cal.

I'm so sorry! We're going to WDW in January - feel free to PM your address to me if you would like me to send a couple of new pressed pennies your way...I know it isn't the same, but might make him feel a little better???

that stinks!!!

Someone stole my Angel from the top of our Office Christmas tree a few years ago. I know who it was (an adult), but I personally didn't see her take it, so nothing could be done about it. Even though she took it in FRONT of other employees!

I hope the parents find the collection and make their son/daughter return it!!! Maybe Jack can make the announcement himself over the loud speaker, explaining how long it took to create his collection....maybe that will make the "grinch" feel bad and return it!!! :wizard:

Oh, trust me, I know exactly who took it. And he's a disgusting vile little creature. And he's 9, I'd hate to see him at 15. He's jealous of Jack because Jack's smart, and this kid, isn't. He downright hates him, and his dad's proud of him. It makes me so angry.....

I feel so bad for him! Maybe the thief's parents will discover what was done and you will get it back.

I just can't get this out of my mind!! Do you remember what kind of pressed pennies that he had? There are surely enough disers with pressed pennies that we can help him replace at least part of his collection??

i know i've got pressed pennies from disney in the 90's if i can find them when i go home for christmas, i'll put them aside. i'm sure that would be a cool replacement if he can't find his.

That's awful. If I had any pressed pennies, I'd send your DS mine.

Here's hoping they find their way back to him. :wizard:
