My Son "The Juicer"

DH bought a seedless watermelon last night before he came home so we sliced some up and offered some to DS with his dinner last night. He ate a few pieces of it but then he decided to try something. He picked up a piece and squeezed it as hard as he could (with accompanying facial expression of hard work) and he seemed shocked to discover that when he squeezed it...it would leak!

He was fascinated and therefore he stopped eating the watermelon and proceeded to juice every single piece he had...but it didn't stop there. For dessert we gave him 2 oreo cookies. Well he ate a few bites and then decided to see if maybe he could juice an oreo as well! You can imagine how well that worked and how large the mess was!

DS not being the kind of kid that gives up easily was seen this morning trying to "juice" his toast as well.

DH and I laughed so hard about this whole "juicing" thing. It is so much fun being a parent as times and I know things like this are the stuff that our memories of him are being made out of. We are very blessed to have been given such a curious, wonderful, beautiful, fun-loving child.

He seems like a wonderful child. You can look at his pics and see what a cute, curious child he is.. and that smile. You are lucky.

'The Juicer' sounds like a nickname for a big football player, doesn't it? lol.
You are right of course Becka, everyday life is the stuff memories are made of. Try to remember this stuff because when Nathan is older he will love hearing funny stories about himself as baby.

becka, I don't know if you are into scrapbooking, but pictures of Nathan juicing his watermelon with a title of "The Juicer" would be adorable. Plus you could journal everything you told us, and then you would be sure to remember it forever.
