DH bought a seedless watermelon last night before he came home so we sliced some up and offered some to DS with his dinner last night. He ate a few pieces of it but then he decided to try something. He picked up a piece and squeezed it as hard as he could (with accompanying facial expression of hard work) and he seemed shocked to discover that when he squeezed it...it would leak!
He was fascinated and therefore he stopped eating the watermelon and proceeded to juice every single piece he had...but it didn't stop there. For dessert we gave him 2 oreo cookies. Well he ate a few bites and then decided to see if maybe he could juice an oreo as well!
You can imagine how well that worked and how large the mess was!
DS not being the kind of kid that gives up easily was seen this morning trying to "juice" his toast as well.
DH and I laughed so hard about this whole "juicing" thing. It is so much fun being a parent as times and I know things like this are the stuff that our memories of him are being made out of. We are very blessed to have been given such a curious, wonderful, beautiful, fun-loving child.
