He started taking an acting class. he is 9. I wanted to get him into something like that, because is is so imaginative and animated. Acting would be right up his alley.
the 1st 3 weeks, they worked on improv. Finally, last week, he gets a part he has to memorize. It is a boy named John, and John has a monologue. John is very upset that he has a test scheduled the same week as the new fall tv season premieres.This is right up my DS's alley. he loves TV, and gets upset if he misses any of his favorite shows.
He already has the whole thing memorized, and he already knows how to change his voice to emphasize. Amazing. It is not the greatest piece of dialog, but for a 9yo, it is pretty darn good. I am so proud of him!
