I survived stepping on a nail when I was a kid. Though I think I scared the doctor. I screamed bloody murder when they were washing out the area..I thought it was a needle...not just a flexible suringe.
Also have stepped on a few tacks. I think he would be fine, long at he is attending to it, keeping it clean. If he just had a tentnus shot, he should be good, I think it's like 3yrs?

Just kidding! From one so-called "helicopter" parent to another, I'm sure it's much more worrisome when your off-spring is not within a short drive, let alone in another country. Don't fret about being told you worry too much. That's just what we moms do.
