I'll have to do a proper trip report later, but here are my first impressions.

This is my solo budget "Goodbye to the Maliboomer" trip aka The Maliboomer-a-thon.

The Maliboomer closing permanently today. :( The ride is already partially dismantled, so only one tower is in operation today. Lines are fairly long and the breakdowns are making the waits longer. It's still worth the long drive!!!! :)

Despite the lines & breakdowns, I Maliboomed four times between 10 am opening (after getting my WOC FP) and before my quick break for Sreamin' FP and Disney Visa Photo Op at Noon.

It's PACKED at both parks today! Both DCA & DLR have lots of people and fairly long lines. DLR wasn't helped by temp closures of both Indy & BTMR.

DCA has heavier than expected traffic too, according to several CMs here. Many of the guests are wearing their 1/2 Marathon medals and/or shirts, so that could be part of it.

Off for more Malibooming!!!!!

It's official the Maliboomer is closed forever at DCA. It was a fantastic day to go Malibooming over and over and over again.

I’ll miss you Maliboomer, we had some great times. Not only was it fun, it was so convenient to have an attraction right there on Paradise Pier that decompressed my spine. I’ll probably have to go see a real live chiropractor after riding Screamin’ multiple times now.

I just found your thread - glad to know I wasn't the only one who planned a trip specifically to say goodbye to the Maliboomer. I miss it already!! If your back needs adjustment, don't forget there is always the Tower of Terror there to assist. ;)
