7 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!

I am so not ready though. This is a trip for just my DH and I, the kids are staying with Grandma. This will be our 3rd Jan. trip without the kids. I am so ready for the break after a stressful year. I am not ready in the packing department, the pass two Jan that we have gone it has been during the coldest week. The week for Jan-15-22 looks like mid to low 70s with scattered rain. What do I pack without over packing? I was born in FL and moved to NC in 1994 you would think I would know but I just don't remember the weather. I just know the winters in FL are a wet cold and seem colder than NC. I guess I will just have to over pack and know I have the things I need. Good thing we drive.

We are joining the 4 days left crowd!!!!!!!

I have DH and my clothes packed have the kids clothes packed to go to Grandmas. I have all our documents printed, annaul passes, DVC member cards, and Cash together and ready to go. All is left is get last minute things together, dog's things, and clean the house, which I wouldn't bother to do till I get back, but got my DDad coming and staying at the house to take DS9 School, DS is our of school Monday for MLK and then out of school Tues and Wed. for Teacher work days, Then he has school Thurs and Fri.

We haven't decided when to leave. It is a 9 hr drive for us and we are trying to decide if we want to leave at midnight or 1am and take turns driving. We are Doing AK our first day and that is the only day we are doing AK. I want to get there and do what I want, we also have 4:45 ressies at YaknYeti dont want to miss. I did the online check in at POFQ so hopefully check in wont take long and I get my requests.

3 days to go. Hope to be walking into the lobby at AKL by 8PM on Thursday. Weather looks pretty good for the upcoming weekend, especially compared to the snow/ice event we have going on right now.

2 days - almost to the minute when our flight leaves for MCO. Whoo-hoo!

Looks like we are down to THREE days now. The weather looks pretty good too, but with a 2 weeks trip ahead of us, the weather can change quickly. I've packed a little of everything, from sunscreen to long-johns. I guess I'm ready.

Leaving at 3 to take the kids to Grandmas, DH get some sleep then leaving at Midnight and will be checking in between 9-10am.

Doing last minute packing, putting everything in one area for DH to put in car when he gets home from work. Almost done with washing bed sheets and dog beds and just sit and wait for DS9 and DH to get home.

I have my Green Mickey on my shoulder bag!
