My Single Digit Dance vs. Hurricane Frances!

Well, I've managed to make it to single digits - 9 days left to go. Absolutely everything is set in motion for the trip including ressies at SSR, airline ticks, park ticks, towncar, PSes, groceries, money, etc, etc. Now I'm getting worried about Frances - the one thing I won't be able to control or plan for.

I know the hurricane will be long gone by the time we leave on the 12th, but I'm afraid the damage is going to be worse than Charley. Perhaps much worse. I'm considering the worst case and hoping for the best outcome - for everyone in Florida.

With that, I hope that everyone will be safe during this hurricane and both their property and themselves will make it through unharmed. My heart is with you all during this trying time!

I do hope your trip can go on as planned with minimal damage at WDW. It's tough to get this close and then have to wonder.

After all of these storms coming at us from every direction...I need to get away from reality...I know I would love for this storm to just make a hard right and fizzle out...I have a few days less then you so I'm also hoping everything will be OK, I'm worried about so many things right now.

We're in the same position...9 days left until we are due to check in in Orlando and we're having to wonder... still haven't bought those park tickets--do we dare?

We figured that at the least we can load the trailer up with bottled water and baby wipes and head that way. We may put the tent in there too so if the resort can't give us a room, maybe they can give us a spot of grass.

Josh, we are going through the same thing you are. I do not want to go down to Orlando and on my cruise if the people in those areas are struggling. I don't want to be a burden! If there are going to be food and gas shortages, I certainly don't want to come down there and take it away from people who truly need it. I can't imagine how scared they must be!

Please, everyone, stay safe and sound...

I'm not even worried about my vacation, but all the people in Frances' path.

Don't worry, everything will be OK and this is coming from a pessimist.

We were to check in at FW TODAY and WDW called and cancelled our ressie.

CM said she had 500 calls to make. 500x + lots more.

We're in the same boat. We leave Friday the 10th for dh's conference. We move over to WDW on the 15th.

My heart is breaking for all the Floridians. They've been through so much already.

DS & I fly down in 28days
Ive had a trip cancelled on me. Not getting too much detailed planning done on this trip. Id rather have to make plans at the last minute than look forward to something and have it pulled out from under me.
