My Score Tonight

DH needed ANOTHER shed for all his outdoor stuff so we went to Menards and bought one (no, not a GREAT deal but it was on sale AND the foundation kit was included which we didn't think originally that it was). After that, we went and picked up a full size mattress & boxspring for my daughter's bedroom for $15. Now she can get out of the toddler bed. My mom had bought a brand new full size comforter set and sheet set before she passed away and we still had it so my daughter's bed is now more luxurious than our own (I may just have to sleep with her tonight.. lol). So then I was driving somewhere tonight and got about a block away from our house where there's a leather recliner on the curb. It looked like it was in perfect shape so I went home and told DH to go check it out. He came home with it. It just has some of the leather peeling up from the back rest part of it... nothing major. The recliner works and it rocks. Amazing! DH has been hounding me for a recliner for months so WHOOHOO! FREE! Just throw a blanket over the top and we're good to go.

This week is going great so far. Let's hope it keeps up! Friday we leave for our first Disney trip!

EW! lol... I'm pretty sure there's nothing in there. We know the house where it came from and a guy died in there so yeah, that's kinda gross but I gave the chair a good cleaning... as long as we don't know where he died in the house, we'll be good.

It was used but in very good condition. She actually gave us 2 mattresses and a boxspring. One of the mattresses had a few stains so we're giving that one away on freecycle today and we kept the better one.

Call me crazy but I'd be afraid of bed bugs from both the mattress & the chair.

Or bedbugs. Our city is fighting bedbugs right now like crazy... our freecycle weekend is coming up and I am not doing it this year because of the bedbug infestation!

Not wanting to be a Debbie Downer, or taking away your thunder, but bed bugs are becoming a real problem across North America right now... and they are nasty nasty nasty to get rid of once they are in your house.

I know, I've seen television programs on it but it just hasn't been an issue around these parts. It really doesn't worry me. I've never heard of anyone around here having a bed bug problem.

And it's okay about the Debbie Downer thing. There's always one on these boards
