Why is it that my scale and his never seem to match. I don't mena just the actual weight but the weight loss also.

According to mine I lost 6 lbs but when I get to his office - sorry only 3. AAARRGHH!

drives me nuts - ok vent over. Thanks

Scales can be different but so can your body depending on the time of day, day of the week and other variables.

Don't sweat a few pounds, it could be water retention, clothes or mechanical.

I've been watching my weight for 34 years and believe me, you could hop on and off scales 20 times and get 20 different readings. Try to concentrate on the one you used from the beginning. Remember, the scale at your Doc's office could've had you at 3 pounds more in the beginning, too!

Do you normally weigh yourself at home in the morning on an empty stomach? Then when you go the Dr. you have eaten at least one or two meals? :D Just a thought

As our wise Robin said every scale is different and the variables our infinite. ::yes:: I was worried what my Dr.'s scale would show and shockingly his was LOWER than mine. :teeth: I liked that. :) If you are going by your scale then you may have been 3 lbs heavier than the last time you were last weighed at the doctor before you started to lose weight. Does that make sense?

Either way, whos ever scale is actually accurate............I dont think it matters.......... look at it this way,
WEIGHT LOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
if you loss three pounds on your scale, you still lose 3 pounds on Docs scale........
SO if your 150 and docs scale says 153 someone scale is wrong..... but the following week your scale says you lost 5 pounds that would make you 145 and DOcs scale 148................
either way, you lost 5 pounds!

I like your answer best wiskband - LOL. I am so glad it was down not up.

I have been a bit scale obsessed, so from now on once a day. Same time every day, and no more.

Maybe at some point I can get down to weighing once a week, anyone know any 12 steps scale programs?!?!?

LOL I too am a daily weigher..............sad but true........
but you can look at it this way, it keeps you on your toes...... as long as you dont get frustrated and let that be your reasoning for messing up........
I weigh in every morning ( when I am nice and light lol) and it either stays the same or goes down each morning so it really does keep me on my toes............
