Whatever you do, do not go when it's close to closing. Both times we've gone, it's been late reservations(around 9:15 to 9:30). The customer service seems to be nonexistent when they are getting ready to close. They appeared to be more concerned with cleaning tables/setting up for breakfast...than dealing with customers.

The last time we were there, we had a 9:20 ps. When it was time for the meat to be brought from the grill, they only brought over turkey and sausage. My dw & dd did not want the turkey/sausage, so they were sitting there hungry. After about 10 minutes of watching them bring the steak and pork to other tables near us, I had to ask our waitress if someone was going to bring some steak and pork to our table. She seemed bothered by me asking her a question. I then asked the nearest waiter if he could help us. He went right to the grill and brought back the items we had requested. My oldest doesn't like red meat at all, so we asked him if they had any well done steak. He went right to the grill and asked the cooks for some well done steak. It took a few minutes to get it, but the waiter was right on top of them waiting on it for us. We wondered why he wasnt our waiter. :scratchin

By time time we were ready for dessert, it was past 10:00(closing time). We asked our waitress for the buckets(sno cones). She went to the back then came out and said they didn't have any ice left. :confused3 My dd was very disappointed, as she really wanted the bucket. On my way out, I stopped the waiter who actually seemed to care about us and gave him $20. I told him it was just for him, as our waitress didn't deserve a dime(didn't get one either). He smiled and was very appreciative.

When we were leaving, we had to send our oldest back in to get the baby's pacifier, as we had left it on the table. When she went to grab it, she overheard the table behind us ordering the ice buckets(I forget the actual name for it). The waitress(the same one we had) told them "I'll be right back with them". Maybe it was because they spoke the same language...who knows. :confused3 My wife was ticked off when our daughter told her what she heard. I told her not to make a scene, as it wasn't worth our time.

This was one of the things that made us switch to the CR mid trip. Ohana's will not be on my list of places to eat in the future. Don't get me wrong, the food is great, but the service was horrible. It's a shame, as we loved the character breakfast the last time we were there.

We had problems with our server at Ohanas in Sept. We are giving them one more chance this trip and if we aren't happy we won't be returning !

We eat at 'Ohana's alot throughout the year and there are a couple of servers we hope we don't get. Otherwise the rest are great and on top of everything and get us stuff before we ask for it. I would say that your experience is not the normal one they give.
