I was recently on my Honeymoon the week of October 9-15 and I figured since I've learned so much from these boards I wanted to share some of my opinions from my recent trip. I will give a day by day review.

Sunday: CS at Casey's corner. TS at Kona Cafe. I got the hot dog with chili and cheese from Casey's which was good but didn't need all that, just some ketchup would have been fine. Good dog and the fries were solid. Overall good not great food. Kona Cafe was more than I could have asked. My wife and I ordered the teriyaki strip steak and we both found it amazing. The white chocolate cheesecake was delicious as well. The ambiance was not as bad as people made it out to be either. We will be back.

Monday: TS lunch at Le Cellier. F&W for dinner. I got the filet and I thought it was delicious. It was very tender and cooked at medium to perfection. I wanted to see if I could cut it with a fork and I did. It was a tad salty but that didn't take away from it. The risotto was very good as well. My wife ordered the salmon and she enjoyed it. We will be back for lunch. The F&W options were very good too. It was a fun experience.

Tuesday: Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. LTT was a very pleasant surprise. Everything was great. The service, the food and even the ambiance of the place was cool. My wife said this was her favorite meal of the trip. I can see us going back.

Wednesday. Lunch at ABC Commisary dinner at O'hana. Abc was a basic burger and fry joint, nothing more nothing less. Very average food. Ohana dinner was amazing. I was sick that night and the food still had enough flavor to tickle my tastebuds. The shrimp was annoying to eat but it was still very good. All the skewers were excellent and the pot sticker and salad was awesome as well. The wings were good but not the best I've ever had. The bread pudding was the best dessert I've ever had. I will go back every chance I get.

Thursday: Lunch at tortuga tavern. Dinner at Biergarten. Tortuga was basic taco food, we enjoyed it. Biergarten was my biggest disappointment of the trip. After recently eating at a German restaurant at home my wife and I were excited to eat here. The place was festive and the show was cool. I was just a little dissapointed in the quantity and quality of the sausage. I liked it but not that much. If your not expecting much in the food and you wanna go mostly for the beer and show that it's not a bad option.

Friday: Lunch at toy story pizza planet. Dinner at San Angel Inn. Pizza planet tasted like microwaved pizza which I expected. San Angel Inn was very good. I knew the ambiance of the place was really nice but after mixed reviews I was worried about the food quality. We both ordered the steak, I don't remember the name of it but it was like a skirt steak. It was delicious. I can't say a bad thing about the food there. Service was not that great but I may have just had a bad server. I would go back here but might skip it next time around for another WS restaurant.

My overall scores based on ambiance, food quality, service etc. from 1-100 would be
Kona: 90
Le Cellier: 90
LTT: 85
Ohana: 95
Biergarten: 70
San angel: 85

These are my honest reviews. I hope they are as helpful to anyone as some of your reviews were for me.
Kona

Great reviews, right to the point. Sounds like you had a great trip. Thanks

Thanks! I'm going in Dec and eating at both Kona and Le Cellier for the first time ever. I'm glad to see you enjoyed them :)

Interesting reviews.

We've been visiting Disney since 1986 (our honeymoon year) and still spot on with your reviews of those restaurants.

Looks like San Angel Inn needs improvement but we dined at La Hacienda on April and found the food to be better. Although, I think the ambiance at the Mexico attraction is beyond compare to others.

However, it's all about being with the one you love so I think you had a great time.. Congratulations. May you have many more years of enjoyment and companionship...:thumbsup2

Great reviews. I am glad I read your post for the Biergarten review mostly. We have reservations there next week and were trying to decide whether to keep them. I think this made my decision! Thanks!

We've been to San Angel twice in the last 5 years, both times the food was very good -the service was ok, nothing special. I to have seen the negative reviews and wonder what everyone else is ordering. Both times we went were off-hours around 2-3PM and it wasn't super busy, maybe that has something to do with the quality.

Can't wait to try O'hana for dinner. Have been for breakfast before and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to everything including Wishes from the beach after dinner! Great way to end a Disney day!

I found your simple, straightforward reviews to be helpful. Thanks for taking the time to post!

Congratulations and thank you for the reviews! Do you remember what your wife and you ordered at LTT? It will be our first time trying it out when we go.

I totally agree. The teriyaki steak is my favourite meal at WDW. Can't beat the bread at Kona either.

Loved your reviews! We'll be going there in December and I'm happy to see that we have the top four scorers of yours on our dining itinerary. :lovestruc Thanks!

DH really wants to eat at Biergarten... hmmm...I suppose it could be worse - you could have given it a 10 score! :) Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

We did the dinner so it was family style. It was all delicious though. You'll enjoy it.

If he wants to eat there he'll enjoy it. It's a fun place and great for men. I don't have a bad thing to say about the atmosphere and entertainment. Don't get too excited over the food though. It was pretty good, not bad. I was just expecting a lot more out of it. You'll have fun there.
