My report of crowds (last week)

The parks didn't seem too crowded... but the lines were SO LONG! Pirates and Indy were probably as long as I'VE EVER SEEN THEM!
Just a FYI to anyone expecting low May crowds.

We were at DL on Sunday which according to TP was going to be a 4 day. It was definitely NOT a 4 crowd level day - in our opinion a 7 day. We've never expected to see PoC with that long of line and the longest ever (for us). Also they added FP to Haunted Mansion due to the crowds. We didn't get seated at our ADR until 40 minutes our reservation time.

Yes, I agree it was more crowded!

The crowds have been higher than I (due to touring plans predictions) had anticipated all week. I thought Monday especially was super crowded. Makes me nervous for the weekend! We have visited in October and December and this week is by far the most crowded we have seen.

I went today and was surprised that they had the ropes out to make switchbacks for the POTC line. It wasn't all the way back to HM like I've seen, but not what I expected

Maybe the return of the hatbox ghost is increasing lines in HM, PotC, and even Indy areas?

Today is also a grad night.

The Tinkerbell marathon was all weekend so the crowds were normal for run days.

It's the addition of the hatbox ghost at the HM at DL. It brought out all the local AP holders who wanted to see it at the HM.

I visit DLR and DCA every other week and last weekend IMHO was a bit more crowded than normal. I would suspect this was due to the Tinkerbell race (which I was participating in), hatbox ghost, and Mother's Day as well. I'll be staying at Grand California from May 21 to 24 and I would suspect it's going to be even worse considering the opening of the Diamond Celebration and the 24-hours of Disney Event. I'm just glad I can always runaway to the hotel if it's get to be too much.
